10/22 photos - post 'em up here!

I am almost completed my mp5 LIKE (not a perfect clone).

Still in the build process. That is a picture of the bare aluminum parts that I darkened with paintshop.

The final product is a few small parts and some finishing away from anodizing.

As for assembly, there are a lot of parts to go together. Making a 10/22 fit into that shape has been a real challenge.

I will post a thread on the finished product and show how it goes together etc... soon as she's finished.

Heres a 10/22 tommy gun

scaled.php

10.5 inch barrel.
Dlask 10/22
Dlask Scope mount
Bushel T25 red dot

Works well and really tight groups.

Looks awesome, but i would loose that "horse ####" magazine... and get something else.. maybe find a working drum :)

Yeah, we like these builds... they are light, compact and can shoot too...

How do you figure that a drum mag will look better than a banana mag? Also, good luck finding a drum that works... all of our BC Steel Lips 25 rounders feed flawlessly.

My compact (CRR model) 10/22 in a Houge stock, with a Bushnell TRS-25 red dot sight.

For the love of......... f:P: the bx25 is a prohibited device in Canada unless pinned to 10 rounds because it was and is marketed to fit the charger pistol. Been covered to no end. And sorry not trying to be rude as the search function here is horrible and it is a very silly regulation put on a high quality magazine but it is what it is.

I picked them in the states at a gun show while on holiday, they are the same type of thing as the butler creek mags, but made by Ruger. They are not pinned, just like butler creek 25 rd steel lips mag, they hold 25 rounds. They had no package and no mention of pistols on it anywhere, so I see no problem. A friend of mine ordered one online from the states, and got it fine through the post. Perhaps because they have no french on them or the packaging is why they are not allowed here yet. I am sure my butler creek steel lips plastic bag it came in said it was for all 10/22 including the charger. I understand that I could not use this in a charger pistol, that's fine as I do not have one, or ever will, so no problems at all as far as I see.

Do some research FFS!

You are in possession of prohibited devices!

You also broke US export law when you brought them over the border!

Way to go! f:P:

Look at section #1 on page 2.

They use the S&W MP 22 as an example, but the principle is the same. The BX 25 mags were designed and more importantly marketed for use in the Charger Pistol, and therefore his applies directly to the Ruger BX25 mags, and the RCMP have already announced so.

The butler creek mags don't fall into this mess as they are designed and marketed for the Ruger 10/22 only, but if they ever announce, or advertise them for the charger pistol we will be screwed.

Cabelas had no problem posting one to a Canadian friend of mine though, I am confused. I also brought back a Houge stock for my 10/2 as well, showed security, checked it with my luggage, no issues. As long as it is not a receiver or ammo, I can bring back shopping from the states I thought. I also bought a sling, I bought the sling and stock at shopping mall sporting goods store.

It is US export law you are violating not Canadian import.

There are occasionally spot checks on the US side for this, and you could be in trouble if your ever caught.

For the most part the Canadian side doesn't know or care.

Your mags are a more serious issue at this point, and need to be pinned or destroyed.

Right, I will be pinning this today then so it complies. Nice thing is they come apart with 2 screws, so I can fix it to Canadian standards
