10/22 photos - post 'em up here!

Look at section #1 on page 2.

They use the S&W MP 22 as an example, but the principle is the same. The BX 25 mags were designed and more importantly marketed for use in the Charger Pistol, and therefore his applies directly to the Ruger BX25 mags, and the RCMP have already announced so.

The butler creek mags don't fall into this mess as they are designed and marketed for the Ruger 10/22 only, but if they ever announce, or advertise them for the charger pistol we will be screwed.

If you had not shown me this, I would never have seen the example of the MP22 and would have never known that is it the packaging of a magazine that decides what it is for, not what rifle I have and use it in.

I know I could not use anything larger than 10 rnds in a pistol, nor would I attempt to, I do not even have an RPAL. I seriously thought this was just like a butler creek mag, it was on a huge table full of mags like butler creek, tactical inovations, etc... all in plastic baggies, with price stickers on them. Thanks for setting me straight guys. I will fix this situation right away.

Upon further reading of an MP 22 thread about people sending mags away to be pinned, then verified etc... I am just going to destroy them and throw them away. I do not want to take a chance with them, as I value my PAL and few long guns I have, and do not want to lose any of it. So the safest thing to do is chuck them away tonight. I will just use the steel lips I have, they work just as well, but do not look as good. Strange that my butler creeks are perfectly fine, work in the same firearms, but the ruger is illegal, both 25 rnd mags, both work in the exact same firearms. Oh well, better safe than sorry and gun less I guess, good thing they were only $20.

"mlehtovaara" thanks for posting those guidlines, I know the laws but its nice to see them in a written format.

I do believe "motoracer" gets the point now and Im sure he simply didnt know any better. I dont think any body here was trying to jump down your throat, more of a way of making sure you know that you could be in trouble if found in possesion of the magazine and posting it so openly on a forum. Where we shoot in the bush the CO comes by often just to chat and he is very familiar with the rules and always checks that are all of magazines no matter what we are shooting are pinned as they should be.

Now lets get this picture thread back on track...

OK im confused..... so your not legally allowed to have 25 round .22lr mags for your rifles in canada?! what about the high cap mags you can buy and the nomad/marauder mags that come with 25 round cap?

Those mags are packaged saying they are for the 10 22 which have no limits. If they mention they fit the Charger, then they are considered pistol mags and must be limited to 10. Unfortunately the BX-25 states if can be used in the Charger pistol

My sr-22 build: Dlask 12.5" bull barrel, Dlask reworked levang compensator, Dlask quad rails, ladder rail covers, back up flip up sights, fACOG, fake suppressor, magpul AFG2. Pretty much finished cosmetically but would like to upgrade the internals and put on a larger charging handle

That's a nice rifle extreme92, where did you get the fake suppressor?
thanks.
I got it at a local airsoft and paintball store. The threading on them is a little too big but what I did was put on the suppressor end piece (which fits snug but doesnt actually thread), then thread my existing compensator (or thread protecter if thats what you have) over top, and then put the rest of the suppressor on. Bought a few different styles cause they look so cool and were only $19.99 :) Wont actually shoot the gun with the fake suppressors on, just put it on for the pic

Did you have to modify the Houge stock to accept the rail? Looks great!
