EESA Zombie Apocalypse 2012 Multigun (Update Post 31)

I really loved that bolt action you were using. I actually managed to hit the two square plates on this stage with my irons on a .223 Norinco M4. Also hit two water bottles on the previous stage with it. :)

Thanks. I just got tired of not seeing my hits with a .223 and the bolt gun seem somewhat fitting for this type of shooting. I messed up a stage big time and still ranked within top 10 in tac ops so I did better than I thought.

Here's the NEA sponsored stage:

Thanks to Craig for the invite. Looks like it was a great event. Due to being sick (not the T-Virus) I could not make it to the match. I look forward to being at the next EESA event as they are always awesome. Thanks for posting the pics and vid guys. Cheers!

Could anyone with video coverage please pm me. I promised Aaron from Canada Targets (he donated all the paper targets for the match, and for prizes) video footage. I was unable to take any video myself, as I was too busy doing everything. If you don't mind sending him raw footage of stages where you can see his targets, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Craig

Thanks to everyone for coming to eesa to shoot, was nice to see fellow shooters I haven't seen in a while. Hope to see you guys again soon.

Also want to thank the sponsors, its nice to see such support in this game.

Man that looked like a fun match...I can feel my heart rate increase just watching the vids! Wish I was there..sure hope EESA puts on another Polar Bear match this winter!

I regret not thinking to take photo of it stuck in there... I'm just glad it was not mistaken for a zombie suv climbing out of the ground and everyone unloading the mags on it ;)
And a 3rd trip to the coin wash today (my fiance's request) to finish washing it, in & out... Nice and shiny again..
now only needs a lift kit and monster tires..

Is this just for his own personal viewing or does he want video for official marketing purposes?

Once again the guys down at EESA put on a great event. Craig and all the staff should be congratulated on their hard work. My favorite stage was the indoor/no light, it was a blast! I look forward to next year.

Thanks to everyone that put on this match and thanks as well to all the match sponsors.

Some feedback:

- Good mix of challenges. I liked that there was a mix of close, medium, and long range rifle shots. Some matches seem to not do any close rifle shots for some reason. I'm still a n00b, so I liked the fact that every stage didn't feel like it was punishing me.

- That being said... autopoppers at 200 yards? Seriously? Too difficult for most. I would suggest making these bonus targets with large bonuses to help cut down on par time timeouts. Then those that can make them can still make them if they wish but those of us that pretty much know they can't could just skip them and apply that time better elsewhere. Even just engaging the targets each with one shot to avoide FTE penalties takes valuable time when all you have is 180 seconds to work with.

- Cut down the length (as in time required) for the longer stages by about 20%. There always seem to be some stages that are designed to be just barely finishable by top shooters with clean runs and no malfunctions. Plan the stage to take less time and there should hopefully be less timeouts. Top shooters will still differentiate themselves by shooting it faster. Plus if less shooters consume the full par time, the match will run faster.

- Favourite stages were the low-light surprise stage, and the NEA stage.

- Painting autopoppers blue and having them in the shade and at distance so you can't see them even with a 3x optic is just evil. White paint would have been better.

Best shot ever by sly mantis in this video! The targets were blown down in the wind and when they were set back up for his turn one of the plates behind them was completely blocked. He shot through a target to hit the plate. When you see him peeking around the target it's to see if he hit the plate. lmao I bow, I bow.

Sounds like you're whining, it's mentioned already that people can hit them with their Norinco ARs...perhaps you need more range time with your rifle. :D

Lol. Pure dumb luck. It was the last plate i shot with my pistol at the table. Two plates under the shroud and the paper target completely blocked the one on the left. After shooting the right plate i just remembered that it was high and slightly to the left of the other plate so point and shot and leaned on the other side to check that i hit it. Like i said, pure dumb luck.

Had a great time at the match. Thanks to all the sponsors and everyone involved in putting on the match.
