Rossi Ranch Hand full-size stock G/B ~ UPDATE - Feb 15/2013

Just curious, does he have anyone else's gun besides mine ? I think CarverK might have sent his in too.

Don't take that as an assumption on my part that something's wrong, please...

I want to know because that could be the delay, custom fitting all the stocks to the guns sent in.

Eagerly awaiting his response. Hopefully they're done !

I got to busy with work and hunting to send out my ranch hand.
I was planing on doing it in the spring when i have moor time
 
I just sent a PM to Rich.
Purchased my second Ranch Hand in 357 Magnum to go with my other in 44 Magnum that I have had since May.
Sure would like to get those two stocks I have ordered.......
Quality just takes time, Hopefully.

Got in touch with Opuntia Lake Sports, unfinished stocks should be shipping in another ~ 2 weeks.

Finished (stained, laquered, checkering, custom-fit to customer supplied rifle, etc) stocks will take an additional 2-3 weeks.

I'm waiting on pics from the manufacturer, of the "almost complete" sets... Will update when pics arrive.

That's good to hear that the unfinished stock sets are nearing completion. It's been a fair wait, but it will
be great to finally get my set to finish the .45 Rossi baby carbine project.;)
 
Sometimes I wish I never started this G/B...

Makes me pretty fvckin mad when I think of the timeline promised by Rich. And how it reflects onto me.

This was going to be an Xmas present to the G/F. He's had my gun for 4 1/2 months.

I don't think it reflects on you at all Boomer, you've done a great job of trying to put all this together, I hope for everyone's sake that it all works out sooner than later for you!

I for one am very thankful.

You cannot be held responsible for the delays by Opuntia Lake Sports.
When they arrive we will all be very happy.If they don't make it for christmas then they weren't supposed to.

I was originally in on this group buy, but ended up having a warranty issue with my Ranch Hand and Rossi refused to do anything about it. I pulled out of the group buy, but the retailer eventually came through and replaced my gun for me.

Would I be able to get back in on this? What is the latest from OLS? Has anyone been in contact with them lately?

No pictures or additional update yet. I called on Monday, left a message with his wife. No return call yet...

I'd follow Can-Downs' advice if you just want a full-size stock to make it more useable.

I started this because I wanted the useability AND a fancy laminate set.
