The 760/7600 Club

Thanks for the clarification, however can you hunt with a 10 round lar in a 7615 since I cannot with the pistol. I don't think so but not sure. I can see it being OK for target shooting but would not the 7615 then be in the restricted class with the lar mag.

I don't believe there is a mag limit for manual action rifles (look at how many people hunt with enfields and 10 round mags).

Agree other than guns like the 7615 they said ( what ever that means) but i'm not sure anymore after reading your post and that was the only one I asked about at the time The site says 5 and no mention of the lar at all

Does anyone know where I can find a 760 in the .308 pump carbine? I have been looking for years but no such luck. any help is appreciated.

Cheers

I have one here, but it's been in the family for years and will be going to a younger brother for his son. Having said that, I also have another one here with a 20" bbl" which I like the handling better than the shorter 18.5" Carbine. I'll post pics in a couple days.

I suggest finding a full size rifle and getting 2" off the bbl. I'm pretty sure you'll like it and it will be easier to find & cheaper than a 308 Carbine.

Beater 760 in 308. Bbl cut to 20", Lyman receiver sight and trigger tweeked. Work done by Dennis Sorensen in record time.

Nice 760 for sure Supercub!!!

Anyone pick up any 760/7600's in the less common calibre's lately???

I picked up a nice 222. And I know where there is another for sale if anyone is interested, however it was rebarreled to 222.

I hear that "somebody" is getting a 760 CARBINE in .280 Remington, and it has gold lettering on the receiver and barrel...........bet some pics of that make their way on here.......... ;)

Be nice to see for sure . They only made the 760 280 carbine for 5 years 60-64 and one with factory gold on it would have been in the rem custom shop so would be real cool. I have a 7600 280 and like the gun.

You do realize you're obligated to show that 280 now right?;)

Quite a bit of work to get at them right now but will when I get it out before the fall. I have one I use and one I don't plus a 7400 in 280. This is the NIB one I have from a pic when I bought it and this is what I class as my rarest 760 my left hand 223.Just have it's original listing pic

Nice 223...I have a 222, and one stamped 244....

Thanks. I fluked it at Prophet river one day, right place right time.It is real clean Have had opportunities to pick up 222 but they were always way over priced and never seen a 244 but they were very rare also only 4 years 57-61 as you know.
Last one I got was one of those special run "cool blue" 7mm08's. I loved the wood. Other than maybe a .257 I am done gathering I think and now putting my money into shotguns lately. If there is anything you want in 760/7600 just send a PM and I will keep an eye out since a lot of these what I call bush guns were originally sold down east due to the woods we have to hunt in. Take care
