Hey guys, as it says above im new to the AR game and am looking to get my hands on something in the near future. Iv been mostly into Milsurp and hunting gun the last couple of years but looking to branch into something that will likely start off life as a plinker and range toy and if i get into some sport shooting, ie 3 gun, in the future i can adapt it to work for that.
That being said i kinda have a thing for the older style M16 looking setup, something that looks like it came outta the jungles of Vietnam, or a movie of that sort, haha.
Iv been looking around on the site sponsors here and havent been able to have any luck finding something like this, most i find are expensive modern tricked out versions or short barrel carbines, which i might grab up one of later on if i find i like the platform. Where would be a good sport to look for something like this?? say for around $1500 or thereabouts??
If i cant get the AR i want right off i might just grab up a Norc and try it out to see if i like it, my M305 has been a blast, and maybe build later on. Either way, thanks for any direction in this.
