Maxus feeding issue

This is the trigger group from my Maxus the small upward tab that the hook is touching is the tab that comes in contact with the bolt release .the out side edge should have a slight bevel .
Rembolt does it look to you from the op's pic his bevel is on the opposite side?? or material removed in the back side Some hard to tell by pics but. What do you think??

Never mind that last pic the op posted made it clearer, might not be material removed from the back but the tab slightly twisted to the left. There definately seems to be a different grind on that tab also yours Rembolt being straight across the the Op's on an angle. You dudes have to some how post similiar shots.

I'd be willing to bet that rembolt's gun is newer than NVG's and he probably doesn't have those issues either. It remarkable as to how many little changes Browning makes thru out a gun's production. My Golds are all different from one another when I look at them closely...Browning constantly improved the design and ironed out the little quirks as they appeared it seems.

I hear you. I have 4 golds 2x 10 and 2x 12 but in all honesty had to polish one bolt which had a burr on the 1st 10ga which was when they 1st came out and other than take them apart to clean them never had to work on them so I am no help. Plus I need to have the gun in my hands and play with them to see what is going on before grinding, etc. ;);)

yeah i noticed that in the picts, hard to see in person though haha. I will go get some emrery cloth and see what happens. Thanks for all the help! Il be skeet shooting tomorrow so i'll post how it goes.

Just a question?? Does it do it with two shells in the mag tube and one in the chamber also??? Shooting skeet you would be one and one..
Also the gas system is super cleaned all ports etc. Correct

Yes but all were those special high performance Rembolt Gold Metal reloads garanteed to run 25 right out of the box. :)
Yeah they do run good through the gun for sure . my gun is a 2009 production date how ever the trigger group was replaced by Browning under warranty . the trigger was not resetting on follow up shots .its worked perfect since then .

You can see in your pics NVG that the carrier tab is actually digging into the bolt release and with the light loads it is hanging up right at the edge of where the radiused corner starts. If you have those mis-feeds again I bet that if you simply touch the bottom of the carrier it will feed the shell to the chamber. If you are afraid of removing too much material on the carrier then give the bolt released a little more angle/radius.
Yes sure looks as though it is riding on there hard .polish up that section of the bolt release . and also maybe polish the tab on the carrier . I know the pic is probley exadgerating (spelling) it some what but it does look like its digging in a lot . put some good grease on that part of the bolt release when you reassemble the gun .

I have only had 1 in the mag tube so far since i have only been out for skeet and sporting clays. Blowing sh*t up is when il have it full :)

Yes everything is clean, I have only had it out 3 times (bought it a week ago) with 100 rounds each day, cleaned after each day.

after some tinkering with it, yeah it is grinding pretty good. emery time

When you get a chance try two in the mag tube to see if it does the same. After I started thinking about this I did have an issue like this in a gold and it was a weak mag tube spring but it would only not feed the second shell when I would go one and one. Worth a try.
Also take a good look at the follower if it is that since I have changed two that were cracked.
Hard to remember when you shoot 1100's also what browning problems I have had it is just automatic I think the problems are with the 1100's.;)

Well, the lifter issue didn't come up today. So I guess the emery helped that. But a couple other things happened. I shot 4 rounds of skeet today (so 100).

1. The first shell didn't have enough kick to cycle the second shell (1 1/8oz). That happened a few times. And yes everythings nice and clean.

2. A few shells got caught on this edge:

Should I be screwing around with emery in this area?

Thanks guys!

What are you shooting for ammo . I don't think I would mess around with the edge of the chamber any . maybe try some different ammo .

I am guessing the super target were the shells that wouldn't cycle the action . have never had a problem with federal or win AA in my gun .

Oh ok the super targets are a POS shell and I don't buy them . have never had an issue the federal top gun shells feeding . I reload federal gold medals , Win AA and Remington gunclubs in 1 oz loads they cycle as fast as I can pull the trigger.

Yeah that's not a lot of rounds .are you lightly oiling the bolt rails and the outside of the mag tube . I use g96 for an oil .its very light and doesn't get gummy if its cold . your in Vancouver so cold probley ais not a factor.
