Well I have two, one still being machined, the other I own all the parts but haven't decided whether to "pull the trigger".
First is what I consider an "Expedition Rifle" for modern times. Satterlee full titanium Mauser action (everything's ti, unlike commercial titanium actions), drop box magazine and Rigby floorplate for 6 rounds down, custom Picatinny double square bridges, titanium rings, stainless Dodecagon profile #3 1-8" .284" McGowen barrel chambered in 7x57. Will come in about about 6lbs with a 20" barrel and nice walnut stock. Will have iron sights, not sure if I'll just do a hooded front and peep NECG rear on the rear picatinny bridge, or have a barrel mounted rear sight.
Second is a .257 Roberts long barrel (28"-30") about a #3 profile, on an Oberndorf Mauser action in superb walnut. Have a 30-32" Krieger 1/9" .257 blank on hand and a bunch of nice walnut blanks, so I think I'll make this one happen. Just booked a Lion hunt so it might have to wait a couple years so the wife doesn't go shopping for someone who hates hunting and the fine tools employed therein.
