New AGW Linear Muzzle Brakes

Production on the low profile gas blocks was set back to next week. Hopefully we will do a short run of the special threads being requested by mid-March.

Great thanks.

I can't find the info on it and I thought I read it somewhere, but since you mentioned gas blocks... Was there a adjustable (tunable) low profile gas block that was going to be made as well?

Just put in an order for two! The donate a buck to NFA and CSSA is a great idea!!! Great work guys I can't wait to try out my new "poor-mans" suppressor!

We are going to take a couple from the next batch and do a couple of prototypes to make sure the system we are going to use keeps it adjustment. We have already tested the concept and it works very well. We just want to make sure it doesn't go out of adjustment after firing a couple hundred rounds.

I had another brake rotate out of alignment even with loctite. Thats the only reason I ask as I would pay up front for one with the inner hole cut for 5.56mm and an indexing notch.

I just finished installing mine on my DD MK18 and will try it/report back next week. Thanks to the great crew at OST for the gun and the AGW brake! :D

mine seems to be staying in place. i used a crush washer, it acts like a lock.

We are looking into do a left hand thread. We have had a couple of requests from the US for a version that will fit on the AK. We have to be able to justify the tooling, so if we see a possibility of at least 10 sales at production time we will do a short run of them.

Put me down as another 14x1.0-Left request. Want it for for a new Swiss Arms, and the only other non-bolt on option I can source is the BattleComp AKBC but at 220$ I would definatly give this a shot.

I'll have a look at what modifications we would have to do to the current design and see if we can run a few special order ones with indexing notches.

Ok gents... I got this fine muzzle device not long ago. Installed on my MK18 build.

I did installed it with a spike shim kit I had. Not that index was important but without shims the brake did not go all the way to the barrel, therefore I could not secure it properly. 3-4 shims and now its rock solid.

Well first word that comes to my mind is: impressed.

This break really do is job well. All concussion and blast will be directed to the front. On my 10.5" it felt like I was shooting my 16" and even my 20" barrel AR. So a big thumbs up for this.
Muzzle flash is not bad. It will not hide it but it's far less big then a Novesky KX3 for example.

I believe it reduced a bit of muzzle climb but will do close to nothing on the break or recoil.

Overall for what you pay this device is very nice and will do the job it is suppose to do. Direct the blast up front. Shooters around me loved it today!

I received mine last week for my CZ858 and it's a very well build brake. How do you guys keep the brake from loosening off? Mine came with a black washer that was too small and didn't fit so I just ended up just tightening it up with a wrench. After about 100 rounds it was loose again. Have to guys used the blue or red thread lock?

Because of the heat of sustained firing, even red locktite would let go after a certain point. If you wanted to use a locktite, you would have to use green locktite, and then you would have a very hard time ever getting it off.

Consider making a notch for the indexing pin to sit in. It wont take you long and you will be able to install and remove it quickly without tools.

*** BUT *** Before you do that, you will have to be sure that there is enough metal to cut that slot. If you break into the expansion chamber, that wont feel so great when you shoot!
