hey guys. So basically I'm transforming my norinco cq-a1 into a "US manufactured" firearm by putting a new lower receiver on it so that it can be imported into the US with my ATF form 6nia. The US does not allow importation of firearms manufactured by an embargoed country ie china. to get around this I went and purchased a GTO core-15 stripped lower and a GTO parts kit from wanstall's today all for $200. since the lower is what is considered the firearm and contains the serial number by putting a US manufactured one on it basically turns that rifle into a US manufactured firearm even though I still plan to use my norinco upper. I saw that marstar video where the guy fits the dpms 7.62 upper right onto the norinco lower receiver and fits perfect because the norinco is mil-spec. I'm just wondering should the new core-15 receiver I purchased fit perfect with the norinco 5.56 upper? also what extension tube do I need to purchase and will I be able to use my carbine buffer and spring from my norinco in the new receiver and extension tube? will have tons of questions to follow, thanks in advance for the help.
