BC - 42 days, 6 weeks, start to finish

42 days. Exactly 6 weeks door to door.

  • BC application
  • RPAL
  • Mailed application two days after safety course
  • Never called in
  • 2013-02-01 - Application arrived
  • 2013-02-22 - Application appeared online
  • 2013-03-08 - CFP called me and my references
  • 2013-03-09 - Approved/issued (checked online)
  • 2013-03-15 - Received

The only issue I know of with regular snail mail is you don't have a received on date. It's probably about March 1'st, but you cannot know for sure. I'd suggest calling on Tuesday with "Hi, noticed my application is in progress. Did you receive all the paperwork you needed? Yes? Great. I'll call back in a week or so and do my interviews? Yes, I'm aware the officer will attempt to contact me but I'm away from my desk / phone quite often through the day and don't want to waste anybodies time. Thank you, have a nice day."

Personally I've had nothing but pleasant conversations with the CFC ladies. Hope it goes as smoothly for everyone else too.

The stamped results will take approx 4 to 5 weeks.
Send it in without the results then fax them when available. This is acceptble to the RCMP.
Otherwise you are allowing Wyatt to impose a SECOND28 day wait period that does not exist inthe ACT.

Yeah definitly send without results, when you get your results back it will be about the time the 28days is set to expire, then check the rcmp website for your application number and you can fax them in along with your app number otherwise it will get "lost" lol!
 
Hi Guys. New to the board. Here's how long mine went (Alberta)

-Jan 30: Mailed Application (registered) PAL & RPAL
-Feb 4: Canada post tracking showed "accepted"
-Feb 26: Showed up online cfc "received"
-March 8: One reference was interviewed.
-March 11: Coworker & myself called in to do the interviews. Found out they tried to call me & my coworker (other reference) on the 8th but couldn't get through, so they sent a letter to both of us to call in. Finished interviews and online showed "license was processed & issued" half hour later.
-March 15: Both of us got the letter to call in, but ignored it because we did the interviews already
-March 18: Got my License!
 
My app apeared on line today. It has this message.

"Your application has been received. It is currently being processed. You have been, or will be contacted either by phone or by mail for additional information. Please check the status again at a later date."

I assume the additional info they need is the test results. I have not got them back yet. Sound right?

Mar 05 - Called CFC to confirm receipt.

I gave the CFC a quick call this morning to verify that they received my application. I was told that it can take 2.5-3 weeks for applications to appear on the tracking site and that they can't actually check anything until it's entered into the system. Apparently they are unusually busy at the moment too...

Yes, when you do get them fax them in and use the application number as a reference.
 
Hi there, everything was going great but now I'm concerned, everybody else says their online status was approved and issued the day of their interviews and reference interviews but for me its been 2 days since the interviews and its still saying in process...

what does this mean? Thanks alot!

I have a clean record and everything, the only possible thing they could have found is that I laid charges against somebody within the last year, is this a problem?

Got my test results in the mail Wed. Faxed them in yesterday. Today my staus is changed to this.

"Your application has completed initial processing. It is now in progress. Please check the status again at a later date."

How long should I wait to call in to see if they can do my interviews?
