I am confused, if NS didnt want people to go to their photobucket and find these photos, why didnt they make their album protected? NS posted a picture this morning, why do two other pictures matter at all??

Have to LOL at the "its not tactical enough" comments...its a $1000 rifle...it takes AR mags, in unrestricted and is $1000...what more do you want/expect for that price?

Don't want it great...but don't troll...

Chicken Little, the Boy that cried Wolf or whatever you call it, is the norm on the Internet. until North Sylvia hears from the RCMP with a FRT number for the T97NSR anything can happen, I am not surprised NS decide to hold things back a little.
 
I cancelled my pre-order and got a CSA VZ 58 last week. No regrets. I figure if they ever get an FRT#, i'll be able to snag one down the line somewhere. If they're non restricted, I dont think there will be a long term shortage being that they'll be massively popular. The whole photo incident was hilarious IMO
 
So somebody posting shots of the entire rifle, which NS themselves put on the internet, is going to "wreck it for everyone"? Give me a break. Maybe they wanted to build some hype by trickling out the photos but once they screwed that up through their own ineptness it seems a little silly to throw a tantrum.

For those who have been waiting I hope the announcement is substantive.
 
Their reaction did seem a bit over the top. But when you think about the money, time, and effort they have put into this rifle it does make sense.

Understandable considering level of excitement.. That pic and saying "an announcement coming soon" is like dropping a bunch of steaks in a pool full of sharksand piranhas.. There HAD TO BE some sort of a reaction :D

Same - don't repost them - it looks like they're getting mod deleted.

I bet (and I totally wouldn't hold it against them if they did) NS might delay the announcements until they can take some sweet new pics of the gun. I wouldn't mind if they did - the more the better :)

It's probably a good thing the pics are being filtered; I bet the RCMP and CFGC troll the site, looking for pictures. They likely don't have the time, brains or technical know how to read/parse through the walls of texts some of us post on here, but just have interns scroll through every page looking for something that looks scary.

A full on picture of a bullpup rifle might be a good find, and if the FRT deal is imminent, letters/pictures to the Minister of Public Safety might make it as a Hail Mary pass to try to kill the deal.

Either that - or NS wants to build up the hype...

It's fun to speculate :)

Yea for sure. Mind you I wouldn't hesitate to share with others off of cgn. I'm not saying make a news story out of it however... I'm growing more and more interested. Didn't pre-order so I'm hoping they get both good reviews and good stock in. Never really looked into how it ejects the spent shells, hopefully it will work for me as a lefty as well.
If not I'm going to have to man the hell up and eat some hot brass. Haha. ;)

What? An FRT application isn't a 'deal', and if they are still in that process the RCMP has an actual gun in their possession. Photos of this thing on the internet isn't going to change anything.

The pictures are out there. NS may be able to keep them off CGN for a few hours but they let the cat out of the bag themselves and the secret is out. Just ask Beyonce how easy it is to get an image off the internet once it has been uploaded.
