Well I am aboriginal in ancestry and I have no problem with those targets in the context of the sport.

You on the other hand have me wondering?? With a name like "Higain"????? Banned returnee???? Troll????

Good Call, John in B.C! Hence the reason for the my "spidey senses are tingling on this guy" comment.

Kind of hard not to read anything into it when there are targets of only one specific racial group.
ok, I'll bite...So why is it so hard for you to not read into the fact that are targets on the range in the shape of an indians?
Whats the problem? Why did you wait till you were on your computer to ask this?? I willing to bet, you didnt have the balls, to ask anybody at the range, (when you were there), this question!...Why didnt you ask them, why they didnt have targets representing, what did you say?..... "Ukranians", "blacks" or "Jews"?

Would you be ok with other people shooting at a target named after your race?

Ok, here's a fact. Instead of hiding behind your screen, and trying to defend yourself from every comment that you get here, go to your range and have a meeting with the executive board and ask them the same question! Why waste your time here asking, when your not getting the anwsers you want? Make sure you tell them also that "I did a lot of things as a kid that i wouldnt do as an adult"... So what are you suggesting by that statement, to all the guys and gals here that shoot Cowboy Action? Let's see how long you stay on as a member!...Will you go before the board, with these questions?...FACT...you havent, and you wont.

Cowboy Action Shooting mimmicks history. In days gone by cowboys shot other cowboys, bandits, animals and indians. That is a fact and that is what the game is based on. It is all in good fun and some of the nicest people I have ever met taught CAS to me. If you don't like it try thinking about kittens or butterflies...

There wasn't anyone at the range...I think I have explained why I have an opinion on this issue in several posts. Perhaps go back to my first.

I don't see a problem with having to defend my opinions. I was simply seeking clarification. I get it, you and others are perfectly ok with this. I am not, whoop de doo!

I am not suggesting that people aren't nice, or that you need to shoot kittens or butterflies. Only that "aboriginal people" as a race do not need to be shooting targets in a game. If its not ok to use any other "race" (despite history), why is it ok to use "injuns"?

I am just saying, there is no other game (to my knowledge) that mimicks history of shooting of a particular race. Feels a bit "exclusive".

Apparently I am the only person in this thread who feels this way. I am ok with that.

We don't just shoot at indian targets. We shoot other cowboys, bandits and animal targets as well. At one time it was just that situation here cowboys from europe, asia and africa and indians. That is what happened. If you can't live with history that is your problem. Take your racist crap somewhere else.

So if this is history, is the game celebrating or glorifying the shooting of "Indians"? This is my question, what message does shooting at a target that represents a specific race of people send?

To be historically accurate, if cowboys shot (legally or illegally) more ethnicities than just "Indians", where are those other targets that represent those races? Why just "Indians"?

Thing is... The whole SASS "gunfighter" game is based more on myth and legend than historical fact.
Its grown men and wimmenz playing cowboys and Indians as much as IDPA is grown men and wimmenz playing cops and robbers.
It's all fun... Take it too seriously and your a fool.

To be historically accurate...

Lol... The point isn't to teach history... It's to shoot old style guns and dress up all fancy-like.
