Need a new 9mm. What's your fave and why?

Throw another vote for the Sig 226. Looks and shoots great.
Very pretty I'd get one AFTER I acquire a CZ Shadow just for giggles.
Ruger Black Hawk 9mm cylinder and a 357 mag to spare on the side.
Why? Because that revolver can shoot the testicles off a nat at 25 yards

Well I curently have Walther p99, and Jericho 941, I like both, but are completely different.
both are very comfortable, p99 is light and compact, 941 is big and heavy, very beretta like but smaller grip.
beretta is better quality than 941 but not optimal size for 9mm in my opinion .
on that note, I had a beretta 92, desperately want another one .
Also had g-17, it was my first pistol and I thought is was the greatest thing in the world (at the time ).
great shooter, totally utilitarian, 100 % combat fighting hand gun .
In my opinion .again I will get another one .but im glad my taste has improved because as great as they are, they are NOT the best for range work.
no desire for a M&P I will just leave it at that .
Had a XD, nice grip angle, great shooter too, but seriously top heavy, and high bore axes, or so it feels at the very least.
I liked it, but won't buy another one.
of what I have now, I give a slight edge to the Jericho 941 , over the Walther P99, because its awesome beretta 92 feel, with the slightly smaller grip and overall size in relation to the 92.
I must say I had no desire to shoot the Browning High power but glad I did .
Had the opertuniy to shoot my friends Inglis high power and I gotta say its gotta be almost perfect for 9mm, Bieng (well balanced,managable recoil,not to long, not to short,comfy,accurate,dependable,reliable with all ammo,)that being said I don't care much for the gigantic sights on the new ones being sold today.and in my opinion the only advantage that sig has over the high power ...

and its not friggin cheap ...
so now im friggn broke again .....but im excited so I guess a big thanks is in order

First hand gun I bought was an M&P 9mm, back when Glock ruled the roost. Nothing against Glocks, it's a great platform for what it is intended for, it's just that they feel "soul-less" to me. OK, my flame retardant suit on now LOL
Have owned / own Sig226, Colt 1911 series 70, various 1911's, Security Six, Tokarevs (one of my favourites BTW), Browning HP, etc etc but every time I shoot, I keep going back to the M&P.
Bottom line...bang for the buck, Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm.
ps I did read that you bought a firearm already, but hey...given the chance to plug my favourite, why not?

This may sound funny but I've had some very old guns that totally creeped me out to pick up. I'm not really a superstitsious type but you'll never hear me laugh at a statement like that.
I'd love a Browning HP, first decent group I fired with a pistol was from an old worn out CF HP. I want a S&W 659 much more though (I'd settle for a 459), just don't think I'm likely to find one...
that's because they don't.
metal guns have been created, with, and by human hands.
they have filed, buffed, lapped, polished, fitted, hammered on, X-rayed, hand assembled, checked, test fired, stripped down and reassembled, checked again for fit finished .packaged and so on .
plastic guns are molded in a factory laser trimmed or clean off the rough edge and droped in the toy box till assembly ....

The P210's are now made in Germany and called Legend, Legend Target and Super Target, It would be the last 9mm's to leave the stable! I just love those two...

I like my M&P 9mm and am very fond of the Beretta Px4 Storm Inox, but I have to say the the only gun I have seen, handled and fired and absolutely detest in any version is the glock. It is the most plane square looking chunk of metal and plastic I have ever seen. Imagine how many they could sell if they just put a little effort into how it looked. No doubt it functions great but it is just flat out ugly.
