Take it easy shredder, he's just asking
In my book, time is not important when it's free... JP.
THIS is true there is no free ride, the norm for shipping is within 48hrs of ordering, a tracking number is usually included. If your order takes longer, you have the right to call, determine the problem and monitor a solution. after all, it"s your money ..no need for them to keep your money with out product!, immediately call the card company or the emt , DO what ever it takes and put in your loss, there is no reason for keeping your money any longer!! place your order again(if you so choose).. this action may bring them in line with the norm..not intending to harp on canada ammo in any way, but it's just a different costing model - the shipping is built into the price.
there are no free lunches...

Hey. Just wondering why it takes so long to ship? I ordered some magazines on April 8th. All items were in stock and I got the standard email confirmation saying:
Thank you for your order. Payment has been received via credit card, direct deposit or EMT.
The order will now be provided to our shipping department. Shipping times vary depending on your location.
We will send you another email notification with the tracking number(s) as soon as the order has shipped. that they received the order and that once shipped I would get confirmation from the shipping department.
So now CanadaAmmo has my money on April 8th. I wait..... On April 17th I get an email saying that the order was shipped. So they had my money for 9 days prior to shipping the order. Am I missing something, or does that not sound like an extremely long time to ship an order?
I am not sure how they do things, but really if someone were to order something from me and they paid me I would probably ship it the same day or the day after or maybe at the latest by day 3. I wouldn't hold the money for 9 days and then ship. If someone on the EE did that I am sure that there would be a bit of a stink about it.
Just wondering if this is always the case with CanadaAmmo?
I understand the allowance for shipping time. Once it leaves Canadaammo it is out of their hands. The issue is that they have an online order system that takes your money and they either are very poorly staffed or not very organized and it takes 9 days to put 10 mags in a box and print a label. They are an on-line retailer. They should have figured out how to do this by now. I guess everyone on here is a little desensitized to poor service and just puts up with it. I really do not think it is acceptable. The only way it would be acceptable would be if they stated on their website that "YOUR ORDER WILL NOT SHIP FOR 9 DAYS AFTER YOU HIT THE SUBMIT BUTTON". Or if they sent you an email that apologized for the slow service and let you know that they cared.
I would be more than happy to give them a hand if they need help organizing their pick and ship process. I am sure that a lot of people on here work in similar businesses and the tardiness on deliverables would not be accepted.
So. Let me get this. The fact that they are busy and making money off of us should make us feel bad for them? If they shipped orders in a reasonable amount of time they would not have so many people calling and asking "Has it shipped yet".
I am thinking that in this economy they would be trying to be a little bit more polite to their customers in hopes that they would become repeat customers. There are a lot of other places to buy ammo that have the same pricing.
