My wife finally found out about this deal I bought. f:P:2:

Can I start whining about my order like the rest here now? lol

(Actually I could care less when it arrives. Canam never disappoints. :p )
 
You guys ever been to Mcdonalds when it's busy? They have one person, takes the order and the payment, then you stand at the side and wait for someone else to gather your stuff.

Same thing goes on at any internet/mail order outfit, they've got one person/department that takes orders and payment then passes it on to the order fulfillment person/department. I'm sure everyone is doing their jobs as fast as they can and it's a lot quicker to take a payment then to initiate a transfer. So should the transfer department go to the person taking payments and tell them to quit doing their job until they get caught up? I guess maybe that would make some people happy but I'm also guessing it's going to make the overall process slower.

It's special circumstances guys 300 orders in a day.

I just picked up my last order of 2 cases of 00buckshot and the lady behind the counter said "that's ammo"!! then she says, isn't that expensive to ship, ,my response, its free! Her jaw dropped! Good prices shipped to remote locations all over Canada for free! well that is worth a little waiting time for me!

When I think about payment disconnect between ordering and processing, I think of the CRA, Canada Revenue Agency, I pay twice a month all year long into the Government's pocket and always get $$ back at the end of the year, so all year long, whatever the surplus is that they owe me, is a interest free loan to the Government.

Actually, if it weren't for Can Rev "looking after" my money for the last year, I could neither have afforded

nor justified this purchase! As it stands, it's my Birthday Gift To Me!!

Not in a terrible hurry, either - my birthday isn't until July.

And with any luck, my wife will be up at the cottage when my delivery finally arrives.

That way, she won't notice the "second" 1911... :)

And since I'm semi-retired and only work part time (half days) I will be SURE to be here

waiting for Canpar!

Going to be a NICE birthday! (Oh, and I have some McCormick 8 round mags on order, too.)

Ughh..I hate when a package arrives for me when my girlfrind's around. I get b!tched at for buying stuff, but not getting her a ring. I keep telling her "you can't shoot a ring"!..

Patience, My Son...

It doesn't get any easier even AFTER she has "The Ring." With years of experience under your belt,

you will eventually figure out the best timing and conditions (excuses) for gifts to yourself.

At times you have to be a little sneaky. LOL


And I do NOT always "get away with it."

This used to be my favorite thread to follow, now, not so much.
Can we stop having all this complaining and start having more pics of the "unboxings" and guns?
We are all aware of CA timelines for order shipping, they never leave anyone without their order and considering the amount of volume this deal has generated for them, i am surprised they are not further behind. They are taking steps to speed things up as Paul said with "mass transfers" etc..Cut them some slack, like others have said if you don't like the wait cancel your order.

I agree, and to the whiners that are concerned about a months bank interest on $500. it's < 50 cents,, send me you cheap ass email and I will emt you the change. So it cost you $499.50 big deal if we keep complaining next time it will be $599. Cause he has to put up with the B.S!

If I hadn't of bought my girl a ring, I wouldn't be waiting for this deal to come in.

I could have bought me a "real" 1911, at a local dealer, and would be shooting "clean" ammo, now.

Ok, I'll admit it. That is whining!

On a lighter note, I put a container outside my front door as I will be in yyz when my gift from canam comes people should be home but in case they are not I at least want it out of site! Really hope there are some left by mid June after seeing some on this sight and hearing about how well they work, I gots ta have a nutter wun! wonder if Canam takes down payments/lay aways for a month!?!

I ordered on the 25th, payment taken, no transfer submitted yet and I couldn't care less.

So much so that I ordered another one last night LOL

I get the gripe, but let's keep this thread full of gun #### (aka: pics) and less #####ing. We'll all get our guns eventually.

OK,OK, you beat me to a second one, has anyone looked to see how many are left in stock,,?? I may have to sell my almost 58 year old body to afford another 1911 before they go out of stock!!! Let the burning begin ;0)
 
I'm stoked to get this deal in the mail, but just a question for all of you who have a 'high end' 1911..one you paid more than $800 for. Would any of you put any of this 'deal' ammo through your high end 1911's? I'm only asking because i am going to be buying a remington 1911 off of a CGN member, but will probably only use factory load through it. Just heard stories is all..
 
^Norc ammo is fine through "higher end" 1911s. I've used this ammo in SIG Scorpion and S&W 1911 Anny (yes, I shoot my $1500 anny, Has anyone else shoot their anny, I like mine, felt better than the Scorpion).

Reloads with the Norc brass works fine, don't notice any different than AE, REM, Win, S&B,... brass.


Best part of this deal will be all the upcoming free NORC brass at the range.
