Thank you.

WESTRIFLE. Great to deal with and great guns too. Saying that, I've found some really nice ones at WSS as well.

Not a lot around right now. They tend to come into the country in batches. Both Cabelas and Wholesale Sports in Winnipeg are selling them, but Wholesale is cheaper. I would recommend a new, unfired, Norinco. Frontier Firearms sells them for $199. I have 2 Soviets and 1 Chinese, and I like the Chinese the best. The Russians have better triggers and stocks but can have mismatched parts if they are refurbished. Don't wait. If you have the money, buy it. The Canadian market can dry up for months or longer on some things.

Check the EE on these forums.
Member Weimajack often sells nice un-issued, all matching serial number Russians.

Home Building Center in Brandon has four crates sitting out front that they hadn't ripped into yet, as of Friday. The last ones they had were excellent condition. Take a drive out and pick one in person.

edit... they also have 1440 round crates of Russian surplus. Get a gun and a crate... make it worth the drive

I bet you would love 500$ for your sks. You can pick them up at pretty much any gun store, with matching numbers etc for 200$ roughly. Goto your local gun shop, most likely they have a crate or two.

I have found some beautiful all matching, still in cosmoline for under $200. thats tax in. I'd check locally first, and some gun shows, if you have it shipped that will add about $25.00 to the price.

I was at the Carp gun show and they were trying to sell a chinese sks with a $70 NC star dust cover scope mount and a slip on but pad for $475!!! A lot of gun shows are full of crooks trying to sell crap for a fortune that they can't get rid of. NEVER assume that you are getting a deal just because its at a show.

Trigger and Bows in Brantford, Ontario, just listed that they recieved a new shipment of them.

I have a beautiful Russian 1954 in perfect shape. Almost no use and stock that's one in a million.
$500 shipped to your door.

Yup. I got my 53 Tula from WSS Winnipeg, and it's a great gun. Not ultra-rare, mint condition or anything, but it's in great shape with a nice stock and it shoots perfectly. They've got a bunch of them on the rack right now, and they look really nice, too.

Yes, I bought 2 new, unissued non refub Russians from WSS in Regina. Only downfall to them is that they are 'Frankenpinned."

Marstar has the high end chinese ones (not norinco) brand new for 75 bucksif u buy a case of ammo
I'm pretty sure that deal is done. I was looking for it earlier today and it wasn't listed on the website. Shipping can be killer on that deal though...and I don't think I would call them "high end." They are the military version and supposedly have a slightly heavier stock.

Wholesale in the peg is your best bet right now if you're looking for a shooter, not something that will be ultra collectible down the road. By the time you factor in shipping its one of the better deals you'll find. I got one after Christmas for $189, I think the new batch they're asking about $220. FYI Cabelas had a pile of Romanian surplus in for just over $300. Canada Ammo is a touch cheaper with free shipping if you don't mind waiting a few days.
