The Battle Rifle Pictures Thread

Only a 223, but really has that "battle rifle" feel.

I dont mean this in a rude or a$$holey way.. but if you were going to basically turn it into an AR, why not just get an AR? ( unless its Non Restricted for you guys, then i understand )

Best riffle available in canada :)

It's a PE90, and strongly disagree. It's a very pricey stamped sheet metal receiver semi with awkward and fragile mags, it is also ridiculously heavy for a .223, and not a battle rifle at all (though it weighs as much), so curious it was posted here. They're OK rifles, but there this much better available. Being non-restricted, for now, is a nice plus, but I was very underwhelmed in my time with them. They are however of good quality, and as accurate as any good semi.

What would you like to know? It is a TRW produced M14 in A1 configuration and it is NOT a welded receiver. The only modifications to it are a national match (NM) front sight and a Krieger heavy pattern barrel. The NM sight helps with sight picture and the heavy barrel is a better heat sink than the standard barrel and add a little to controllability.
Tell us more about it!

OK!...-It was rumored to be "uncontrollable" in full-auto mode, which led to its downfall...do you have an opinion on that?
-Was your action originally issued in the A1-E2 configuration? What is the diff. between the A1 & E2 designation?
Any info on the M14A1(E2) is always of interest to myself & others on this forum! Regards.

It is only "UNCONTRLLABLE" in the hands of someone who does not know what they are doing! As with anything proper training is the key to proper use. I changed to a heavy pattern barrel not so much to improve controllability but so I could keep up with my friend's BAR. With the standard weight barrel I could only run through 2-3 magazines before things just too hot. My friend could go through 4-5 in his BAR. Now with the heavy barrel I can get through 5 magazines if I want to push it. The difference between the E1 and A1 is a piece of paper. In 1967 the M14E1 configuration was officially adopted as the M14A1. All M14A1's were originally standard M14's. This is because the M14E1/A1 did not appear until after M14 production was shutdown. Before the M14E1/A1 came out the role of the squad automatic rifle was filled by the M14(modified). This was a M14 with the selector switch installed (most M14's were issue with the selector lock installed) and the M2 bipod attached. Any other questions just ask.

Ryvax, that's a sweet blaster you have there.

Will SEI's stubby SOCOM gas plug alow you to hang a bayonet?

Let me know how the iron sights work for you once you get the rear assembly re-installed...

This is my favorite now :)
