+1I clean it around 500 rds or when I'm in the mood.. it never FTF's but I bet you could shoot a 1,000 and it would still function fine
I must be doing it wrong. If I go over 400, I start to have issues with the feeding ramp. FTF with the nose of the bullet right into the center of the feeding ramp stuck in the carbon. Thick layer of carbon around the edges of the ramp, silverish spot in the middle where the carbon layer is purple and glossy right where the nose is stuck.
The more of these posts I see the odder I think I am... I clean my guns after EVERY range trip, if it got fired, even one mag, it gets cleaned..
Cleaning isn't as important as making sure there is oil in it. it could be coated in crap and oil the slide rails and a couple spots and it will keep working for another long time.
