look what they are selling at Canadian Tire!

I had to drive 25 minutes past my CT in Edmonton to see the Leduc store in person. Exactly as the OP said. Dozens of sks,svt40's, Kar98's, maybe 6 Tavors left, and about 150 other rifles and shotguns. And walls of ammo. Yet my local ct has pellets and water.
The mg34 is missing a barrel. Price is 4749 as already mentioned. 8mm semi.
Svt: 298.00
Kar98: 698.00
Sks's on sale 179.00

Picked up a 51 Tula at my local CT in Greenwood, NS. They let me pick through their stock and they had this 51 and a bunch of 53s, 54s and 55s (Tulas only). The 51 is a refurb with all matching numbers and no "forced matching", however, stock only has serial but no arsenal stamp... I suspect that only the stock was changed out during the refurb. Barrel is chromed and shows signs of use with lands and grooves still quite sharp, and firing pin does not have a spring... Bayonet is blued, but no extraneous bluing or paint on any other bits. No accessories included with the rifle.... 189.00.. Nice looking rifle, absolutely beautiful when compared to my Type-56 Chicom, which looks like an eight grader made the stock out of a 2x4 in shop class...

They have guns at the Greenwood CT? I moved away from Greenwood a few months ago and I didn't see any when I was there! Figures they'd start selling them just after I move away. :S

^heres a few more photos from last night. I think it says 879 for the CZ's.

Note the TNW M31 Suomi. I had to look it up when I got home. A real neat piece of history right there.

This thread is great and all, but honestly if all you're going to add is a one-sentence reply of approval, clip out the pictures of the original post. Thanks.

We here in the lower mainland BC need to shop at the CT's that supply firearms, we need to send a message to head office to pressure the rest of them to carry as well and show that it is profitable.

HELL, I wish ! In the Vancouver area some of the stores barely carry the minumum of ammo never mind guns ! I guess it's up to the store owner and if they are anti gun we lose. I wish I would have known about the Leduc store last week as I was visiting family in Beaumont !, DAM !!

Hey NoDanger, is that a CT in the Niagara region? if so which one?

The Canadian Tire in Welland, Ontario is ramping up their firearms department right now.

They told me they will have a HUGE gun section, starting in October.

Canadian Tire in Riverview, NB is awesome. SKS, mossberg 715T's, 12g, .22's, .223's...etc..etc...etc...

Bye-bye Mom & Pop...

They're getting ready to open an all-new CT MEGA-STORE in Nanaimo, BC. The guy in the sporting goods dept of the existing store said they'll be selling firearms ("60 different models!"). Great if we can get nice milsurps for good prices. Not so great for our little 'Mom & Pop' gunshop who may, like so many other little people, be forced out by the Big Box Store mentality. Actually I'd like to avoid the new store with it's caged-in tools and video surveillance cameras and continue to support M&P, but I know I'll be tempted to go in there and have a boo--even tho the new owner treats me like a suspected criminal.... :ninja:

Everyone knows the sun shines brighter in Alberta!. Its up to the individual owner to bring in whatever they want. If you want something ask theyll probably bring it in. They are all dealing with the same wholesaler.

they only have that ?

look at what we have in Leduc, AB

the pic are from the last week they had 8 tavor and one mg34
