With the exception of full autos, I have at one time or another owned every single category of prohib firearms. I have none on my RPAL, the only one I really miss is 12.6. At one point (I was 19) I had a PPK, Bodyguard Airweight, 4 inch K, L and N frames and followed those up with a Smith 3913 and an SP101 in 357. Now, I guess I'm not mature enough to handle owning them. Strangely, at 46 I don't feel dumber or more dangerous than I was at 19, and I don't live in downtown Surrey any more..

The only prohibs I can think of offhand I would be interested in owning would be a couple of small S&W revolvers set up with Big Dot front sights and possibly CT lasers.
Those would be some unstoppable ECQC guns.

Anyone miss the Snubbies, like a colt 38 with a 1 1/2" barrel? The other day I got the urge to get a snub nosed revolver....Of course there illegal in Canada cause they are super duper evil with their short barrels that spit fire like a dragon and there revolving cylinder of death that keeps the cases with the gun instead of spitting them out on the ground as evidenceLol, ok its late but I do miss the Snubbies

You my friend like many others did not miss the boat. You, like many others, were discriminated against due to your date of birth. The fact that some voting age citizens can legally own certain guns and others cannot based on the date of an ill-conceived law being enacted is simply repugnant in a democratic society. Plain and simple, as long as such laws are allowed to be tolerated we do NOT live in a democracy. We apparently live under the rule of power-wielding masters who 'allow' us certain 'priveledges'. Disgusting.

If I can have a single shot 22lr rifle I should be safe enough to own any firearm I want regardless of type make model or ablity to function. It's not like you can just remove the barrel from a revolver like they did in the 1800 (gangs) They called them belly guns because you put them up to someones belly and pull the trigger. People can think of all sorts of reasons why you shouldn't have something but they miss the whole point. If someone shouldn't own a firearm it doesn't mater what type

Of course, the law of unintended consequences went into full play for all of the security transport companies
who were issuing model 10 revolvers with 4.125" barrels to their armed employees. Suddenly, they could no longer import any new ones.

Well, this is The Problem, isn't it? I have yet to find a 12-6 owner that doesn't grin an evil little grin as they show off their prohib snubbies to me. And it gets even WORSE when they "innocently" offer to let me try them. All too often the evil little grin becomes downright demonical just out of the corner of my eye as I turn away to shoot. But if I snap back to look them in the eye they are all innocent looking...... Grrrrrrr! ! ! ! ! !
So yeah, it's VERY easy to miss these guns that I'm not allowed to own.
My 12(6)'s rarely make it to the range. They'll continue to be basically safe queens, till we get CCW.
I shoot some of my 12(6)'s every time I go to the range, no use making safe queens out of something that is constantly depreciating in value. My goal is to wear them out before I die. I always let other shooters try them too, I need help wearing them out.
I find it intriguing that the gov't, in their wisdom, decided that bad guys should not use 2" 38s, or 25s, or 32s, but should only use 4' 9mms, or bigger?
Personally, I would rather the bad guys used the weakest, most inaccurate handguns possible.
That said, I have a number of snubbies. the 5 shot 38s are quite compact and some of them are remarkably accurate.

Got to shoot a friends 686 at the range. I'd get one of these for sure.... If only I had my 12.6
To be quite honest, I would have better luck hitting the target with some of them, if I threw them at it!
Those .25 auto's with a inch and a half barrel, aren't what you call a tack driver. 4'' Security Six, is another story.
I've got my 12 (6) and it's allowed me to own some guns that I never would have spent the money on. That said out of all of them I love my S&W model 17 stainless kit gun the best. And it is just the right size for teaching my kids. The S&W Airweight is fun too... Ok I like them all someday when I have a moneytree I want an unaltered Glock 19 but that's a real longshot.
