I was given an ETA many months ago; fall 2013. As of the Equinox last weekend, it is officially fall. WTF (when this fall?)

English please! I was told they would be here fall 2013. Every other store has them. Only one person so far has replied with a useful explanation, and it wasn't you.

Yes, I did get an answer faster by posting in two places. Thank you! I don't browse this sight often and had no idea a simple question would envoke such enthusiastic rebuttle. I was concerned when I got no response from CA when emailing them to update my current billing info. I was hoping someone else would have an explanation, and they did. I now know they are coming from a different supplier.

You're comparing apples and oranges. Type 97 NSR's are here. Canada Ammo is selling the Type 97 NRR. IT IS A DIFFERENT RIFLE, if in name only. Different importer and likely a different manufacturer/facility (hence the different model name). Canada Ammo has already stated in this thread that their deal came to fruition later than the NS deal. That's why the price is different, it's a different arrangement with a different importer. It can't be any clearer than that. Whether or not they will arrive in "fall 2013" remains to be seen, but you can't hold them to a delivery date based on the arrival of their competitions different model. There's still a lot of time left in the fall for CA to make good on their claims. Also, maybe it's not like comparing apples and oranges, more like comparing Red Delicious apples and McIntosh apples. Sure their both apples, but they come from different orchards, grow on different trees, and are being delivered on a different truck.

They had replied to a personal inquiry this summer, promising arrival in fall 2013. I just never received acknowledgement when I updated my billing info. SFRC sent out a newsletter with a 2-3 week arrival time, other stores had T97's in stock. NSR, NRR is a subtle difference and the Canadian market is hungry for this very pointable, non-restricted black rifle! Feeding frenzy in progress!

I'm not dissing Canada Ammo. I've dealt with them before and they're usually awesome.

Do you only read the words you agree with? NSR'S and NRR's are being made at different facilities by different people and being brought here by a different importer. Do you expect competitors to co-ordinate their efforts with each other? Fall 2013 is a very broad delivery date. CA has lots of time. I understand you are very excited about getting your new rifle, completely reasonable. It's your logic that is unreasonable.

I wondering what YOU are reading... When someone finally explained that CA is importing from a different supplier, I thanked them for their input. This entire thread would have never existed if CA had simply acknowledged me when I updated my billing info for this pre-order. My credit card info will have changed thrice by the time they arrive! I have been waiting patiently for a very long time, and it was lack of communication that sparked a simple question. I don't recall seeing such detailed supplier logistics explained when I ordered the NorincoType 97 or did I miss that somewhere? If I truly lacked patience, I would have ordered one from Wolverine Supplies yesterday. At least those guys reply to their email.

Pay more now for the NSR, or wait and pay less for the NRR when they arrive.
Either way, time to shut the #### up about it.....

That is the confusing part, you find the item in question under the manufacture name 'Norinco' on CA's website. It says Dominion Arms after that.

I'm not sure how that's confusing. As you said, the item is a : Dominion Arms T97NRR Rifle, 5.56mm.

Therefore, you ordered a Dominion Arms T97NRR Rifle, 5.56mm.

is the picture of the t97 on canams webstie correct?

Type%2097%20A%20004i.jpg

thats the picture of the t97 nrr from canams website, and it shows the t97 with a bayonet lug on it, is that correct? or is this just a "close as" picture of the old model or something?

I would say the picture is wrong, Wolverine Supplies picture does NOT have the Bayo lug (But who wouldn't want a bayonet lug on their rifle?!?)

I wonder is this an Import thing or a Norinco Manufacturing thing?
