I live 370 miles and a $900 plane ride from the nearest bank. EMT is all that works for me at present, though the Purolated wad o'cash is interesting too.
i found the easiest solution to this EMT fiasco. i will send a Moneygram from the post office. the seller can pack the gun and in a single trip, he does both chores. Pick up payment and send product. If the PO does not have enough cash, awhh boo boo...they give a postal money order which is like cash. I have lost funds thru the EMT route and i have ignored the EMT only ads in the EEs. I would rather work with a person willing to work on payment with me. Wanna sell it...then be open to other methods. This is my humble opinion. Small town banks and credit unions do not have EMT so we lacking the service do state up front what we can do. Dont like my money, do not sell it to me...someone else will gain by it.
I sent the funds thru EMT to an email handle. the funds were taken out and account closed. never got the product. Privacy act protected the account owner. Moneygram is guaranteed to arrive and only be picked up by the seller. One trip to post office also. Same day service.
Moneygram is rough...

For those who have a general distrust in others and are too worried about having a deal go sour, I'd suggest to go elsewhere than an EE type buying/selling environment.
No method of payment is foolproof. EMT is the most efficient and convenient IF you have a basic trust in people.
