Thought folks on here should be aware of this. Maybe this info is already out there....
I have had many discussions with the Canadian Savage office as I have a rifle in for warranty issues for about 2.5 months now. The service depot/shop is great but they cannot get the parts needed to fix the issues. Was told that no guess could be made as to how long this will drag on for - that info was right from Savage Canada as well as the depot....
Savage has said they can fix the problem by replacing the defective rifle. - Update - Now solved to my satisfaction!
Apparently they cannot export due to export license issues as in apparently they do not have a valid one at the moment. Savage Canada confirmed by phone that it is their current status. New info - apparently will be sorted within next three weeks.
They should be letting their distributors/resellers know this or at least post it on their website.
Edited because - New info!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hooray!
Talked to Customer service manager as Savage Canada suggested. They are looking after me directly and have offered a very agreeable solution.
Let me just say my faith in this company has been restored! I will have a new rifle home by early next week.
I just had to get through the red tape to get to the right person!
I did suggest they post some info on the web.
