The Battle Rifle Pictures Thread

My National Match.

Still waiting on the cheek piece to arrive.
This rifle will not be scoped.

Very nice, but why do you need a cheek piece to shoot irons?

**************

Standard '1965' M14 in a synthetic stock over a modernized 16.25" M14 in a bullpup conversion kit.
This bullpup is 16.25" shorter than the standard and two pounds heavier.
The sling, magazines & optic are NOT included in the weight comparison.

I really could use a good 3/4" of lift for a proper repeatable cheek weld.
The pic below shows you how high the riser is on my Savage.
You can also see how heavily I like to be pressed into the stock.

What is this awesome righteous thing? Is the conv kit available in Canada?
Barrel length: 16.25" without muzzle device
Muzzle device: Sound suppressor capable muzzle brake, SEI P/N 1005-SS
Overall length: 28.00" - measured from end to end with muzzle brake installed
Weight as picture: 11 pounds and 7 ounces, steel Magpul MBUS PRO included

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to shoot 20 rounds at a narrow steel target that was about
120 yards away using nothing but the Magpul MBUS PRO iron sights... all 20 rounds hit steel.

Good to see someone else using the NcStar mount.
Isnt that a bloody good piece of kit for the price :)
How did your bedding work out, any noticeable difference good or bad ?
And that is possibly the biggest scope I ever saw on a Norc .
Nice build.

Finally got new glass for my Norc M14 (been using HK knock off scope till now). Sorry for the crappy quality pics, will take her out one day for a proper photo shoot.

Bushnell Elite Tactical 5-15 x 40mm (with the sunshade one because it looks so much cooler). I know, it's nothing compared to what most of you guys are running, but it was all I could afford at the moment without the wifey tearing both my balls out. One major issue though, I can't get the scope to sit right...it's canted to the left.

At 200 meters, the bullet hits on the mildot furthest right when I'm aiming for centre of the target sheet, and I'm out of windage adjustment...it's fully cranked. I'm using the M14.CA CASM (gen 1) mount, weaver tactical rings, but I've been told my receiver might not be straight in relation to the barrel. Options....shim the rings (it's what I did for my old HK knock-off scope), file and shim the M14.CA CASM mount, or take the thing to a gun doctor and figure out another solution (like buy a Springfield).

That mount does work nicely. i havent run out of windage too!! i woyld recommend to those that have run out of windage to shim the bottom screw. i did this to avoid the screw from entering the bolt ramp and catching the lug.

the scope looks huge because of the sunshade lol.
thanks for the kind words.
