Do you take the same gun or guns up to the deer camp each year or do you switch it up every so often? Most years I plan that I am going to take my one "go to" deer rifle and switch it up with the second rifle I bring. By the time I make it up to camp the 2 same guns as last year are in the truck.

This year (same as usual) will be my Ruger m77 in .308 and my Marlin Guide gun in 45-70.

What about you guys? what are you taking this year?

Savage 111 in .270win and Savage .22mag for grouse and hare. Never any need or desire to have something else.

Savage .270, Ruger 10/22 takedown for grouse and my trusty Winchester 94 in .30-.30 as backup.

Bringing a bear tag and wolf tag along just in case. WMU 49.

Remington M700 BDL in .270 good to 600 yds (practiced) and methinks will switch it up every other day with 6mm Rem - say out to 300 yds but know it's capable of accuracy much longer. Hunting open field adjacent to woodlots.

I don't have a camp to go to, but I will be taking my tang safety Ruger M77 in .338 Win Mag, M1 Garand and maybe a Parker Hale No.4 Enfield sporter out this year. The .338 is more than I need for deer or moose, but I bought it a number of years ago for an elk hunt that never happened and I have never actually hunted with it since. I figured it deserved to be carried this year even if I don't need all the oomph it offers.

remington 308 pump with over under mounts for the irons and a 2X7 elite(my personal ultimate white tail rig), remington 788 in 308 with a lepould 3x9, Rossi trapper in 44 mag

Robinson Arms XCR is 6.8 SPC 99% of the time.... Occasionally take out my Browning A Bolt Medallion in 270, Weatherby Vanguard 7mm or if I'm in a shotgun only area I shoot a Beretta ES100 Pintail slug gun....

No tags/limit as long as you have your small game license for WMU 65 on both wolf and coyote.

I'll be hunting wmu 49, northwest of Burks Falls. I don't know the special rules for that area.

I don't think I would get in much shyte but I'll have the tag just in case. I should also say, or get the chance to shoot one.

I switch it up, year to year, or different rifle each day. I always use a rifle that hasn't got blood until it get something with it, then switch to something I haven't used in a while. But my go to deer rifle these days is a Parker Hale 1200C 270Win.

Speaking of rifles that need some love, I need to take out the 25-35 and get a deer with it, haven't used it for a long while. It's been supplying venison for over 100 years.
