LAR-15 mags and couplers

They perform great, better than if they were uncoupled. I can seat all my full mags on closed slides and these mags and followers are a lot better than some of the other green ones and I have yet to have a feed issue.

can you please post some pics on the follower without coupling them? I can't picture the part that you file down to make it work. Thanks

File/dremel the part I marked with a sharpie to your needs, you may need to file more than is marked. Remember that the couplers need to be reversed from the way they are intended to be installed to get the correct angle and so that the notch is on the flat side of the mag, the side that the bullets point to.

the area that you marked with sharpie....is that the bottom part of the follower that goes inside the mag? I am still trying to understand why you file the bottom part of the follower that goes inside the mag? Does it make the follower lower?

when you reverse the couplers the notch on the coupler doesn't have the channel to slip into and it protrudes up into the bottom of the mag preventing the follower from going all the way down. if you would just simply remove your follower and spring from the mag and lay it down like I did in the pic you will see what im talking about. then look back to the previous pics and figure it out. I'm not sure how to better explain it. just reverse your couplers and load up 10 rounds and you will clearly see what I mean. filing that part I marked with the sharpie allows the notch on the coupler to slip in that space which allows the coupler to go all the way down.

NOOBS :p jkjk I had same problem and solved it this way... always modify the followers and not metal. reverse the couplers and file down the middle of the follower where it contacts the notch of the coupler.

How do you get the notch on the inside. Mine is sticking out the front.

anybody know if you can couple an older style lar-15 mag (grey one) to a newer one with these couplers? Made the mistake of buying an odd number last time i ordered...

This sport is sheltering more and more cry babies every damn day lol. If it works and is a great alternative to a ####ty legal five rounds, swallow the cosmetics appeal, use them and deal with it. All I hear these days is wahhh wahhhh wahhhh. Unless the angle is impeding in your "tactical manoeuvres" who cares how it looks, question should be "does it function" :0 ???

I like your logic! Are you Vulcan?

I think he's douchebaggian.

What quadrant do the Douchebaggians reside in? Are they related to Vulcans? Are they less prone to whining like Vulcans? What magazine configuration would a Vulcan use? I think they might just use the ten rounder without a coupler!

They hail from alpha ceti 4 and are prone to literary rants about whiners while being hypocritically whiny about said whiners.

I think you're overreacting a bit aren't you? Instead of flipping it from one axis its the other axis isn't it?
The new design may even be a faster flip than the original.
I literally just woke up so my head may be backwards still, but I don't think it needs a do not buy warning....

Good morning! :)

I also thought that way, until action time came...
The new design is not faster to flip than the original, it is not naturally to flip the mags foreword - away from you.
It is more naturally to flip the mags sideways.

Take a piece of card broad, mark it properly and experiment! ...
You really need to try it, to see what I am talking a bout.

I'm glad I waited and didn't jump in yet. Can you please post the steps on how to modify the older model of the magwedge? Thanks

you may be right... too lazy to pull out the AR right now.
Anyway thanks for the pics though they're helpful.
I can see the flip being awkward for a Tavor, cause the mag is under your arm, but for a more traditionally located mag it seems ok.
They're metal right?
