do the AR's in question start life with a barrel gouge?
has nothing to do with brand, It is unacceptable no matter who made it, since it is Norinco you just assume it is brand hate?
people always want something for free. def not all rifles are like this, as mine is great, no isses with mags, BBL, FTF's, not a single issue with it. I love mine, and would recommend them to anyone.
sure the fire controls are ass backwards, but it will take some getting used to. Optics on it yeah they may look retarded, but i dont plan on mounting an optic anyways, so that is a moot point for me.Would you recommend the excellent ergonomics to anyone? Or how about the ability to mount optics 6" above the bore? Maybe the high grade materials that went into building these rifles? Or the out of box reliability and accuracy you can always depend on Norinco for?
LOL.
Othere then being a bullpup, I fail to see anything this rifle has going for it. Even then, bullpup is a trade off for other important features in a rifle. Can't say I'm sold on one of these....
You caught a sucker, as I have seen them on EE for 850-900$.
which of those companies you mentioned had accidental drill holes in the barrel and didnt take their product back? It is less than 4 cases of norinco ammo to it's expected life the manufacturer states, not very long for most people that actually shoot their gunsYou literally just said a post above, that no other company would release a gun with a defect and not exchange the rifle or refund your money... thats why I listed several big companies that did just that .
Time will tell how the barrel life is on the T97, even if the barrel life is 6K, I doubt most people on CGN will ever approach that figure. If YOU don't want one because of a small hole in the barrel, then don't buy one. Many others are using them, and from what I can tell, even the guns with holes in the barrel are performing and grouping as well as you can expect from a bull pup sporting rifle.

most people who hate on it have never held one it will piss all over your cz858 rest assured
Um, ok. I have both. The biggest difference I've found between the two is that EVERY time I pull the trigger on the CZ, it goes bang. Sorry kids, but I'm the T97 owner that's feeling the need to tell the truth. This firearm was a few revisions shy of being ready to release to the public. Someday, it'll be an awesome gun when they hand it over the counter. But that ain't today.
What an awesome feeling. I've got a 'pup' that has the consistency of the CFO and a flawless 858 that's likely going to be seized in the near future, if I don't unload it first.
Yeah....its a MAG issue....not the guns fault that STANAG mags made to certain dimensions/tolerances so they will work in multiple platforms and various NATO countries firearms around the globe, DON'T work properly in the T97 that has NO feed ramps, out of SPEC mag well, and out of spec mag release depth for these mags...mine goes bang eveytime as long as I'm using high quality mags, most people assume its junk because they don't understand the problem with these guns, the mags your running are too narrow for the magwell causing them to tilt and thus the bullet hits a flat wall. it'd be no different with the 97a. they need a certain spec of mag to work.

yeah, when I set my RFB next to the 97 I am really in awe by it's presence, I'd ask you to trade but you would probably want cash on top of my RFB and I just simply can't afford it right nowNo kidding!
Simple bullpup envy.

oh come on now, it isn't that bad. It is like a fixer upper of the firearms world, just like there is guys that like to buy cars and houses that need work there are those with the same outlook in firearms.Yeah....its a MAG issue....not the guns fault that STANAG mags made to certain dimensions/tolerances so they will work in multiple platforms and various NATO countries firearms around the globe, DON'T work properly in the T97 that has NO feed ramps, out of SPEC mag well, and out of spec mag release depth for these mags...

we are talking about a spare hole half drilled in the rifiling of a barrel that is not limited to two guns, looking at the serial numbers already posted suggests the defect spans a very large number of rifles, stop comparing apples to oranges. I am not even going to bother posting all the other issues people are having with the 97 because you already know about them from reading on this forum.I am not sure if you are missing the obvious, TC/Remington and many others have produced guns that had defects and would not return them... In the case of Remington it was a defective safety...
With a name like "hoakster" I should expect to see some proof.
