On my AR set up I have a 1.5-4x optic with simple crosshair reticle. I also have backup irons. The scope is mounted as far rear as possible while allowing the rear iron to flip up.
My problem is that I find the eye relief to be a tad too long. I like my stock adjustment the way it is but when I try to focus on the scope I have to scrunch forward half an inch.
I'm beginning to question the need to have the backup iron at all. My scope will never 'run out of batteries'. And let's say something happens to my scope, it is on a Burris quick release mount so I could quickly remove it.
What would you do?
