hey guys my svt 40 doesnt have the notch and grooves for a scope mount, have any of you mounted a sks choate scope with scuccess. I would love to hear if you guys have tried something that works and holds a solid zero. What are my options?
If it was me I'd want something like this.

That uses the rails. Nice looking mount though, any idea who sells them ?
As you can't drill an SVT 40 receiver I think your only option would be to weld one on.

It does not look like you have done anything.![]()

Here's the war time solution. This scope and mount were found in the old house near Kyiv, Ukraine, where the defensive line of 1941 was. Of course it's not the best solution, but hey, at least it's historically accurate and you don't have to bubba your rifle. I can post more pics if there's any interest.

####ty pics, but they are there. that is a VEPR mount. fits perfectly no wood had to be removed. BUT you cant drill and tap a SVT 40 you say, ok then
you are blind. first pic 2 #8x40 screws what do you think the round holes on ea end are for do a lil research and have a look online before you start showing how much you know
I even told you who made the mount. but if you need to, here ya go again can you use google
MOLOT Vepr/AK/Saiga Extra Low Profile

It looks like it's stuck on well, but I still can't see the screws or if they go through into the receiver.
Here you go. As you can see, there's no need for rails and notches.I'm interested in this! Please post more!
