My factory VARMINT/HEAVY BARREL rifle shoots sub .75" all day! Really? Prove it!

I was finally successful after numerous attempts. I can't explain how frustrating it is to screw something up on the last group (or even just on the first group), but it's something most have experienced. I was testing out a few loads earlier and figured I would give this a shot once more before packing up. I was giving the barrel 30 seconds between shots, but it was pretty hot through all 5 groups. Even my best group on the page isn't as good as some of the groups I have been able to get with this rifle and load. I was hoping for at least one or two groups less than half inch, but I'll take what I get.
The rifle is a Savage model 10 precision carbine in 223 with nothing done to it. Vortex optics, bipod and a rear bag. my load is 23.8gr of H335 with a 69gr SMK at 2.240", CCI-BR4, brass was once fire from cheap bulk federal 55gr FMJ stuff.
Starting from bottom left,
#1 - 0.598"
#2 - 0.712"
#3 - 0.633"
#4 - 0.539" (smallest)
#5 - 0.583"
Average - 0.633"
I think I will continue trying this now and again to see if I can't work on my consistency. 5x5 shots is so much harder than just getting a single excellent group.

I don't reload yet so I made an attempt with factory ammo. Not good enough but better than I expected.
Rifle is a Tikka t3 varmint in .223 with a bushnell 4200 6x24x40 shooting Federal 69 grain gold medal match. Groups were shot off a bipod and rear bag. I'm sure with a better shooter it would have completed the challenge.

I've tried this a few times over the summer and always blew at least one shot. This time I made it.

I finally got some time behind the bench and some time at the range to try this again.

Classic!...hundreds of firearms users claim this quite proudly. But yet less than a dozen have actually been successful. This was an eye opener!!
All groups must be 5 shot groups.
Here are the rules:
The rifle must be a factory varmint/heavy barrel rifle with no major modifications.
The rifle must still have the factory barrel. Aftermarket stocks and triggers are allowed.
**ALL GROUPS MUST BE UNDER .750"@ 100 yards/meters**
You must shoot 5 consecutive 5 shot groups on the same paper. There can't be any other groups on the "official" target.
There must not be anything on the target that could be hiding a failed attempt.
Your successful post must include the following:
A pic of the rifle and the rest that was used to shoot your targets
A pic of the target showing all successful groups with the group size beside the group
A pic of your smallest group with a set of calipers showing the group size.
-When measuring your groups be sure to measure the groups properly. This is a good example of how to measure your group. Measure the extreme outside spread of your group and then subtract the bullet diameter
Your post must include all 5 group sizes (as well as written on the target. Sometimes the writing is to small to read)
Have fun and be safe.

Nice shooting porterhouse. As jdeere alluded to...this challenge is not easy, and even with good loading and steady hold...there are ar fewer rifles that will do the job than most like to believe. I have only one rifle that fits this category and couldn't make the cut last spring ...maybe next spring
