Trade Ex M38

I just got mine this evening.

The good: 1944 Izhevsk with m44 stock, good bore, decent stock, excellent metal, non counter bored with good crown.

The Bad: The bolt is sloppy so the bolt head moves around too much causing it to randomly hang up when trying to close the action...

Anyway, I temporarily swapped it out with a bolt from one of my 91/30's and it cycles fine now but not sure if it would have any head space issues using a swapped bolt.

Mine showed up yesterday. I ordered the day they went up. It was supposed to be here on the 20th, but I guess Canada post doesn't attempt weekend delivery in my area.

I received a 1944 Izhevsk with double date and MO markings. M44 stock with a very nice grain to it. It also has the wartime front sling slot liner with a pressed in rear escutcheon. Not counter bored, and the bore is in good used condition (Won't know until I get the cosmoline out completely). Overall a very nice rifle for the price.

I've noticed the bolt is slightly stiff as have others, but I will reserve judgement on that issue until such time as I strip and clean the bolt completely. I've had issues with Mosin bolts before, so this ain't my first rodeo. It'll get sorted out eventually!

Well it is here!! A Beautiful 1941 Izhevsk, the Bore and over all Rifle are in great condition and to say the least I am very happy....Perfect timing with Christmas Eve but there was no way I was waiting until tomorrow to unbox......lol.

Edit--- I originally stated Tula...oops.
