22-250 twist rate

Im planning to build a coyote rifle in 22-250 off a Sako 75 action.
I want to come in betweeen 6.5-7lbs unscoped with a 21 or 22'' barrel.

I'd like to shoot a 60ish grain bullet out of the rifle. Maybe something
like a 60gr. V-max. I cant ever see wanting to move up to the heavier
bullets since I have other rifles I can use to cover that area.

Most factory 22-250's seem to come in 1-14 twist which I think will be
too slow for the medium weight bullets.
Some people online are suggesting a 1-9 twist but that seems pretty quick
to me.

Just wondering if maybe a 1-12 twist would be a good compromise.

The 12 twist will work well for what you want to do.

I have a 1-8" twist .22-250. I shoot 75 gr amax. If I had to do it again, (since your buying a new barrel) I'd go 1-10" twist and throat it for the 53gr vmax. I'd leave the finished barrel length at 22".
Why, I would think the 8 twist is ideally suited for the 22-250? Out here on the prairies where shots on coyotes can and often are +250m and never a calm day the higher BC of the 75/80gr Amax/VLD and powder capacity of the 250 case would seem to be the perfect combo???
