Im planning to build a coyote rifle in 22-250 off a Sako 75 action.
I want to come in betweeen 6.5-7lbs unscoped with a 21 or 22'' barrel.
I'd like to shoot a 60ish grain bullet out of the rifle. Maybe something
like a 60gr. V-max. I cant ever see wanting to move up to the heavier
bullets since I have other rifles I can use to cover that area.
Most factory 22-250's seem to come in 1-14 twist which I think will be
too slow for the medium weight bullets.
Some people online are suggesting a 1-9 twist but that seems pretty quick
to me.
Just wondering if maybe a 1-12 twist would be a good compromise.
The 12 twist will work well for what you want to do.
