Need comment about I Run Gun store

Don't know much about any deals they have or there prices ... Very reputable store , Just do your due diligence if your ordering anything form anyone in general

Essentially, IRUNGUNS LLC have opened up the entire US market to us through sites such as Gunbroker.com. You can buy any firearm through any FFL dealer and pay the $200 export fee to have them bring it into the country for you. For hard to find items this is a godsend. Personally, after being disappointed over the lack of inventory in Canada for what I wanted when I wanted it, I finally bought made a purchase through Gunbroker.com via IRUNGUNS LLC. If you are a small time purchaser buying low-end cheap pistols, don't waste your time. If you are looking for exclusive items that otherwise would be impossible to get in Canada this process changes the gun market forever in Canada. The only downside is waiting, but really who cares. I am sick of the bleeding hearts on CGN that don't understand IRG's business model and how it is set up. I just paid them the $200 import fee today, and until that time they had made zero cash off me. They are the last ones to get paid in many circumstances and I can only speculate that they are trying to fill and ship orders as soon as possible because they have bills to pay of their own. They don't get paid until they ship from Edmonton so I can respect what they are doing. Dragging their heals to get stuff shipped would be of no benefit to them. If people even feel that they are going to be whiners and crying about a 6-8 week wait at times don't bother. Sometimes if you buy at the right time you'll get your order quicker than at other times, but don't blame them if you drag your heals and make a purchase decision on the 15th of the month so you order is delayed a whole month. Some of the adults I find here are less patient and less logical than my young children at home. Know what you are getting into before you commit to an order and if you cannot do your own due diligence prior to placing an order, you have no right to complain. We need to support these fledgling startups so they grow and compete within the Canadian market.

So you feel as if they are doing us a favor????

How???

You pay for the service & you should get it, its amazing how many people pay nd stick up for someone not doing their job.

How long would you have a job if you didnt do whats expected from you?

Yes, they are doing us a favour. When they reach the right volume of sales per month they can bring on more staff. Another full time employee can be very expensive. CanadaAmmo went through similar growing pains. Every bit of profit is used to grow the business further, while still having to put food on the table. Volume will increase, word will get around as efficiency gets better and everyone will benefit. Please specify how they have failed to do their job, beyond the circumstances that are not in their control. This month they are a little late from Shot Show. Who cares. That just means they are on the ball, aware of up and coming product to gain an advantage on the competition. Another favour for us. I imagine they will have wonderful surprises and awesome deals throughout the year on product that would otherwise be unattainable here in Canada. Like I said, you can buy any gun through any FFL dealer in the US and bring it into Canada through IRUNGUNS LLC for much cheaper than Prophet River. There are amazing deals all over the US. If people are too lazy to take advantage of IRUNGUNS as a means to bring in some incredible product on their own, that's not my problem. Look at their business name. "IRUNGUNS" - What does that mean to you? They offer product on their website to make some money selling guns to people not savvy enough to use them to their full potential. Instead of whining, find yourself an awesome deal by unconventional means and take advantage of the service they offer. People have posted on the forum of saving thousands of dollars purchasing through their service, so unequivocally yes, they are doing us a favour for those with eyes enough to see it and take advantage of it. I am sorry if this sounds offensive but it is true. Go get yourself a deal on a Ruger Redhawk, or whatever else you've been wanting, no more scouring the used postings in Canada waiting for your turn to get something good. Get what you are wanting today, then wait patiently for the importation process to be complete. If people don't get this then I am at a loss of words at this point.

Prices are not too bad on the .ca site but with the drop in the CAD currency, it's going to cost a bit more now. I wish they would update their website and remove the stuff that is out of stock. Most of the stuff listed looks like it's available but when you click on them...it's out of stock. PITA

Agreed..

The January import came in last week, items are shipping out this week.

That's good to know! Thnx. I think IRG is an Amazing Service. Esp. if you are looking for a hard to find item,(Big or smaller ticket) you can buy from any place/auction in the US, & have it shipped through them to Canada. I bet they are real busy & figuring some things out as they go. If you have to wait a bit, so be it, as long as it gets here(to you) then it's all good! I will & have used them without hesitation! *Question maybe someone knows the answer to: I was wondering, Say if you find something like a Hard to find Accessory-An Example: AR 7 Stock & 25 round mags. Impossible to find up here. Is it still $200 or how does it work to get them to import it, the thing isnt even worth $200, But Because of itar, I can't just order it myself,(or can I?) but can IRG bring it in for me still? What will they charge I wonder?

It is a good service that helps out a lot of fellas, but it seems they have to iron out a few hiccups they have with making everything flow smooth and timely. Hopefully that will be resolved before long.

After reading all these posts I think I'd be awful Leary of using them for anything. Seems like a fairly high percentage of screwups.

Changed your mind lol

I have bought through him and am really glad to have someone who will do the work for us - international purchase of gun stuff is not the same as buying shirts through mail order from the US. Don't buy through IRun to save 20$ - buy through IRun to get something really special - that is worth waiting for.

ive sent them an email and a p.m in the last year(needed a few questions answered concerning a gun(s) i was interested in,..still waiting for a response.there is no excuse for that..thats downright bad business, period!

I agree. Granted, I am not a high volume or high end buyer, but, my order, and associated questions was dealt with smoothly, professionally and in a timely manner. And I really didn't care that my order arrived securely packed and labelled, but covered with a "garbage bag"...I thought that was hilarious.

This is a not so great post. How do you define ''not doing their job'' ? Is it because they were slow in your opinion?

I get the impression that you misapprehend the complexities of ordering ITAR regulated items by the truckload. Imagine this: they have tens, if not hundreds of guns shipped to them from FFL dealers all over the US every month. They have to sort out the import admin/paperwork for every single one of those guns for import. If they are restricted/prohib, they also have to register them with the CFP and transfer the gun to you. Then, if the magazines that came with your gun are above 10 or 5 round capacity, they have to individually pin them for you. Before they ship you any restricted or prohib guns, the CFO has to get off his bureaucratic butt and complete the transfer as well. A normal restricted transfer can take anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks when you're doing it inside Canada. The guns are crossing national borders AND being transferred to you. That requires... well. Time.

My rifle was delivered from the FFL dealer from gunbroker to the IRG warehouse in AZ on the 14th of this month and it is now in Canada. I received the transfer notice this week and I'm waiting to pay the 200$ import fee and 5% GST and shipping to my door. I don't know what happened on your end, but as far as I can tell they are too busy attending to their job to be responding to your whiny emails or whatever it was they did to offend your sensitive self.

Buyer Beware: It says very clearly all over their two websites and beside each product that their prices are in U.S Dollars. It would be a logistics nightmare to do it any other way, they are a U.S firearms dealer and FFL that do a great job.

I purchased an AR from them mid-last year. Everything went smoothly except that I found out later on in the process that their prices were in US dollars not CAN dollars, so my purchase decision cost me an extra $60 that I did not expect. I suggested that they change their web pages to clearly reflect this (which they have done). Someone looking on a Canadian web site expects quoted prices to be in Canadian dollars. I felt a bit ripped off at the time but I'm over it now for the most part but a slightly bad taste still lingers, lol.

It seems they sit in the U.S. till they get a bunch to save on shipping and customs work. the time in transit seems quick just the front and backend takes time..and then resending to end client.. mine took about 8 weeks..

Correct they ship once a month with the 15th of the month being the cut off day.

Did you actually read the whole thread? I'm certain everyone knows how the bureaucracy works and realize there is a wait time. Feel free to actually read some of the negative posts before you call everyone whiney brats, as there were some legitimate issues. I'm sure if you had the problems I had (read post #17) your perspective would definitely change... All I can hope for is that their business runs smoother than it did last year, for the sake of other CGN'rs. They were pretty new at the time, so I have to cut them some slack and hope they've gotten better... but don't think I'd buy from them again. You take that however you like, but don't dismiss people as whiners who actually had issues with them.
