Essentially, IRUNGUNS LLC have opened up the entire US market to us through sites such as Gunbroker.com. You can buy any firearm through any FFL dealer and pay the $200 export fee to have them bring it into the country for you. For hard to find items this is a godsend. Personally, after being disappointed over the lack of inventory in Canada for what I wanted when I wanted it, I finally bought made a purchase through Gunbroker.com via IRUNGUNS LLC. If you are a small time purchaser buying low-end cheap pistols, don't waste your time. If you are looking for exclusive items that otherwise would be impossible to get in Canada this process changes the gun market forever in Canada. The only downside is waiting, but really who cares. I am sick of the bleeding hearts on CGN that don't understand IRG's business model and how it is set up. I just paid them the $200 import fee today, and until that time they had made zero cash off me. They are the last ones to get paid in many circumstances and I can only speculate that they are trying to fill and ship orders as soon as possible because they have bills to pay of their own. They don't get paid until they ship from Edmonton so I can respect what they are doing. Dragging their heals to get stuff shipped would be of no benefit to them. If people even feel that they are going to be whiners and crying about a 6-8 week wait at times don't bother. Sometimes if you buy at the right time you'll get your order quicker than at other times, but don't blame them if you drag your heals and make a purchase decision on the 15th of the month so you order is delayed a whole month. Some of the adults I find here are less patient and less logical than my young children at home. Know what you are getting into before you commit to an order and if you cannot do your own due diligence prior to placing an order, you have no right to complain. We need to support these fledgling startups so they grow and compete within the Canadian market.
Prices are not too bad on the .ca site but with the drop in the CAD currency, it's going to cost a bit more now. I wish they would update their website and remove the stuff that is out of stock. Most of the stuff listed looks like it's available but when you click on them...it's out of stock. PITA
The January import came in last week, items are shipping out this week.
After reading all these posts I think I'd be awful Leary of using them for anything. Seems like a fairly high percentage of screwups.
Changed your mind lolIt is a good service that helps out a lot of fellas, but it seems they have to iron out a few hiccups they have with making everything flow smooth and timely. Hopefully that will be resolved before long.

So you feel as if they are doing us a favor????
How???
You pay for the service & you should get it, its amazing how many people pay nd stick up for someone not doing their job.
How long would you have a job if you didnt do whats expected from you?
I purchased an AR from them mid-last year. Everything went smoothly except that I found out later on in the process that their prices were in US dollars not CAN dollars, so my purchase decision cost me an extra $60 that I did not expect. I suggested that they change their web pages to clearly reflect this (which they have done). Someone looking on a Canadian web site expects quoted prices to be in Canadian dollars. I felt a bit ripped off at the time but I'm over it now for the most part but a slightly bad taste still lingers, lol.
It seems they sit in the U.S. till they get a bunch to save on shipping and customs work. the time in transit seems quick just the front and backend takes time..and then resending to end client.. mine took about 8 weeks..
I get the impression that you misapprehend the complexities of ordering ITAR regulated items by the truckload. Imagine this: they have tens, if not hundreds of guns shipped to them from FFL dealers all over the US every month. They have to sort out the import admin/paperwork for every single one of those guns for import. If they are restricted/prohib, they also have to register them with the CFP and transfer the gun to you. Then, if the magazines that came with your gun are above 10 or 5 round capacity, they have to individually pin them for you. Before they ship you any restricted or prohib guns, the CFO has to get off his bureaucratic butt and complete the transfer as well. A normal restricted transfer can take anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks when you're doing it inside Canada. The guns are crossing national borders AND being transferred to you. That requires... well. Time.
