The numbers of SKS rifles in Canada

I wonder how many SKS are in Canada? If CZ 858 are 10000 , SKS seems to be at least 100000 rifles.
It is good the popularity of SKS, will help to recognise semiauto rifles as a popular choise of Canadian shooting sport
 
I bet there are almost as many WOODSMASTER Remington. That is where the vital ground is on semi auto, it is a purpose built hunting semi auto. Every Canadian can get behind that. SKS is vital ground in terms of it's numbers. Even if you do not like them, you should buy one, that way if they ban them the numbers will be so sky high that every political party will fear for it's votes. GET AN SKS, MAKE IT A SAFE QUEEN. BUY ONE FOR EVERY PAL HOLDER IN YOUR FAMILY. All 2 million PAL/POL holders should have one.

Yes, well put, for the Semi Auto, plus they are fun and inexpensive, historical Etc. I have paid as little as $150 for nice copies, buy in bulk for better prices in some places! Target/plinking and hunting! An all around firearm!

So funny to see this thread now. Ran out and bought one yesterday, thinking exactly the same thing. SKS UP EVERYBODY!
 
lol I bought an sks on the weekend just for that reason. It was tempting to get a crate of them, but I'm keeping the number of firearms I own below 10. Suspicion of 10 or more and they don't need a warrant to try to find reasons to take your house away from you, and your kids, and maybe even shoot your dog.
 
As of tomorrow I'm picking up my first Russian '50 Tula SKS! Can't wait! Got 1000 rds of FMJ from the canada ammo sale as well! Perhaps i'll pick up another one to mod up as I'm keeping this laminate all stock!

I hear they actually rape the dog and leave the wife on a chain in the backyard with no food or water. it's the kids they shoot. The house they rent out to a grow up so they keep themselves in business. Like the town marshal, "ya got keep just enough crooks for ta mayor ta pay for the use of ou' hog leg!"

So getting back to the original post...Any idea as to numbers of SKS in Canada?
