Personally I am not a fan of the $529-$599 types of sales going on right now for entry level AR15s.
Who knows, say best-case-scenario they actually aren't downright garbage, and they may actually may be semi-reliable, why would you want the absolute worst possible quality product that you can buy? I'm not saying you need to spend $4,000 to have a red "HK" stamp on your rifle that people at the range will see and assume you are a true man, but at least spend $1,000 or so for an acceptably entry from something like Sig.
Best-case scenario in the law of diminishing returns is to get to the $1,500 level so you can buy something from Daniel Defense, which is IMO the best level of quality and reliability you are going to get while not wasting any money. At the $1,500 mark, you're getting the best components, but not actually wasting money.
