Was there a .303 Ruger #1?

Was there ever a factory Ruger No. 1 single shot in .303 British?
Ever seen one? Do you have any experience shooting one?
Do you know where there is one for sale?
I don't mean a rebarrelled rifle, but a factory original.

A few years ago CGN folks actually took part in a special buy of this exact rifle through a site sponsor (Clay....?). I think about $1200 MSRP Cdn. No real meaningful range report or hero shots with downed critters yet. I have seen them relisted on EE, but pretty rare and have the $$ in your hand.

if your 7x57 is an AB, I'll buy it from you and then you can go shopping for your 303. Contact the big black 7 (Ardent). I believe he had one for sale a while back. Maybe he still has it.

Every year Ruger does a run of an old or oddball caliber. 303 was a few years back, about a year ago there was some 300 H+H's kicking around.

Yah I saw a Ruger .303 British for sale sometime back at P&D... I kicked myself the rear so hard I could not sit for a week for missing that one. Love the .303 British its a feel good round.

If I remember correctly a CGN member from the Regina area posted some pictures of a beautiful Whitetail Buck he had taken with his iron sighted Ruger 303.
It might be about a couple years ago now..

Mine has worked on mule deer, several whitetails, and a nice moose. My Ruger #1 in .303 British is a nice rifle that has proven to be a real game getter.

Ruger has done more than one run of No.1's in .303 British... if you just gotta have that cartridge in the No.1 all it will take is a little patience... it will turn up... they always do... I know where there is one right now... it will not be cheap, but if you want it bad PM me and I will give you the details.
