10,000 Enfields!

I was looking at this earlier. I bet theyre expensive tho, and I wonder if there is a Canadian importer willing to pick any up. I would lay out money up front for a LB No.4!

No matching bolts, though, so they all need headspacing, and condition looks extremely varied...

Has anyone told the Canadian forces about this?

I heard a while back that there were short on these Rifles for their Rangers.

Just park a pallet of these in my garage please...

Makes me wonder how much they would want for the 5000 #4 rifles + shipping

And how much sh*t and abuse it would take to get them here :(

Then hire some summer students to match up the bolts if possible.

Frankly the conditions don't look that bad. The #1s look dirty, thats about it, The wood is all matching, I don't 'see' any big splitting, and yep, for 200$s I would take one. Quick steam and re-oil and they would likely look very good. The #4s looks pretty good as well.

I bet they want pretty big bucks, they're discussing this on another board and suggesting they will be commanding european domestic market prices, which I suspect would be pretty steep, at least compared to what we're used to paying for Enfields(total speculation on my part). However, those long branch No4's are rifles are the very ones that went over there with our boys in WW2, and every canadian collector should have one of those! Oh yeah, If someone does import those, I will gladly spend my summer matching up bolts. Don't even have to pay me, I just get to take home 2 enfields per week(my handpick of course!:D)

There is no virtually no market for them in the UK, no market whatsoever in Ireland or France. I think they are worth $ 75 each top whack.
