hello,
yesterday at the range I started getting double shots.....two shots fired from one trigger pull. the following shot would be normal.
at first it was just a random thing, then it started happening more frequently
I searched google for this problem and some people say it's a bump fire...not holding the stock firmly enough and pulling the trigger too lightly.
I was bench shooting and trying to get an optic sighted in so I was trying to get the most accurate shots possible by not jerking the trigger
the gun is a brand new Ruger 10/22 takedown with about 1,000 rounds through it. I have cleaned it, taken the bolt apart....nothing sticking, no burrs, no grit....nothing. can't figure it out
will put everything back together and wait till next time to test.
this gun is factory stock except for a Tuffer Buffer and the bolt hold release mod.....no trigger job, no Timmy Trigger, nothing.
I asked my buddy and he says the same thing happens on his SR22 sometimes....which is fairly new also
anyone else have this happen? why does it happen? too much oil? I use CLP Break Free
thanks
