Thank you Mike for the kind words. I have always tried my best to ensure that the customer is always satisfied and that they always have the best product one can provide. It has been my work ethic for many years and has allowed my business (which isn't gun related at all) to flourish.

Thanks again Mike.

You are an awesome guy, sorry I never got back to you about my blank receiver, Mr AR15, I decided it wasn't a big deal.

However I do have one query, I wonder why there is no rear site? My rifle shoots all the way to the left of the target, pretty substantially. I had to aim that small peg all the way to the right just to get the rifle centered. Are there any rear sites I can buy that are compatible with this receiver?

What we intended was that the customer take his/her 1022 and drift off the rear sight on the stock Ruger barrel and then place it in the channel within the rear sight cover. There are two button head screws that came with the kit to hold the sight in place and let it slide right to left so that you can adjust for windage. There was also a front post that screwed into the very front top of the dummy receiver and that would act as a front sight. The only time this would not work was if the customer had a 1022 "Compact" as that rifle used a different rear sight than the standard 1022's. We put a warning on Fabs web site that if you had a compact you would need to source a standard rear sight from Ruger.

If you download this picture and then blow it up you can see the Ruger rear sight sitting in the channel inside the rear sight cover.

Hope that answers your question about the sighting system on the Thompson.

I know this is an old thread, but I guess I have been living under a rock as I just found out about this kit in another thread earlier today.

Are these still being produced? If so where can I buy them?

I got a WTB post in the EE, but I would rather buy new and have it now.

Thanks for any info

Yes, the regular mags fit. As reliable as any 10/22 I have, the action and barrel are unchanged. I have trouble being as accurate with peep sight, but I didn't do it to be a tack driver.

Well, the best is still from Mr AR15, and his "Trooper" build kit. The quality, fit and finish are outstanding, and much better than anything currently on the market. Sadly, only 50 kits were made available with no more to follow - a collectors piece, IMO.

This is an early pic, before sling swivels, original sling and original mags modified with a 10/22 rotary on top.

Made this one after seeing the prior type on here. Didn't like the Fun Gun design, looks cobbled together. Great fun at the range. Would be nice if someone took up the challenge to produce them but the cost would be too high for most.
