1022 Tommy Gun Kit

Will you only be selling kits or will you offer fully made rifles? I'd be willing to shell out a bit extra for the convenience.

They will only be kits. They are dead easy to fit. As part of the field testing, I am selecting one of our most mechanically inept club members to install it on his 1022 and if he can do it, anyone can:p. Basically you just remove your stock which is one screw, drift out the two pins that hold the trigger assembly to the receiver, slip the new receiver over the Ruger receiver and replace the two pins you just removed with some new pins that we provide and your ready to rock and roll. There is a little bit more to it as you also have to install a muzzle break and a couple of other do-dads (that's technical talk for gun stuff) but the instructions will get you through it easily. Not to worry. Besides, there is a wealth of 1022 knowledge right here on this forum so you will have lots of help if you need it.

Hurry up and post finished pics, dammit!!!!:D

We wanna know what it looks like and how much it's gonna cost!!!! (and 20 or 30 rnd stick mags would be great, too!!!):dancingbanana:

ETA??? does it matter what type of 10/22 we might have ? one model beter than the other for this kit? love what i see so far!!! looking foreward to seeing more!!!

ETA - Mid July or sooner

Doesn't matter what model except for the 1022T. The bull barrel would be a problem as the fore grip is cut to the taper of the standard 1022 tapered barrel. Also, a bull barrel would look a little out of place as well.

Pics (and price) will be coming soon from the internet store that will be selling them. You won't be dealing with me on this as I am, I guess, the manufacturer, sort of:confused:. We are field testing right now and we will be doing a photo shoot (pun) shortly afterward.

Need more info for the demo. My dad would make the trip out. He's not a member..................

We were just joking around. It really isn't a public demo as much as its just me bringing it to the range on Rifle Night at our club to play with it for a while.:p That previous post was from one of our club members wondering when I'll be bringing it to the club to show it off. So don't be concerned about not being able to get to see it. We will have pictures in the near future.:)

Would he be able to drop by?

Sure. Just ring the the doorbell and one of the members will open up for him. I'll be there from 4:00pm until around 5:45pm. People start getting set up to shoot the relay around 6:00 so I need to get my stuff out so I'm not taking up a port for one of the regular Wed. night shooters.

I'll be in port 9 but you won't have a problem finding me as I'll be the guy with the Thompson.:p Don't forget eyes and ears.

Mr AR 15:

I have been quietly following this thread - don't even own a 10/22, but will get one just to install this kit!

I sure hope you'll post some pictures of this session, because .....

..... (of course ;) ) ......

Have you seen the picture on page 12 of this thread? Thats all I can post for the time being.

Got off the phone with my dad awhile ago. Made the trip out to see the proto type.

Super impressed with Mr AR15's contraption.

My dad is gonna get both kits. Tommy and gangster gun. The one at the club was the Tommy version.

The fool forgot his earmuffs so he didn't get to see it shoot. He can forget anything and everything in life but never leaves home without his cigars.

Very impressed with what he saw and felt. Gun was heavy like a real one. Really good job in making an accurate copy in his mind.

Thanx John for allowing him to see it. You made an old man happy.

On edit: it was my dad who saw the proto type, not me.

Either you or Ar15 better have taken pictures of this thing, because I would really love to buy one. Still waiting on a release date.
