Sorry if the question has been asked before - but what was the issue with adding a front sight on the muzzle brake?

The original Ruger rear sight is moved from the end of the barrel and is relocated to the top rear of the Thompson recevier. That raises it more than 3/4" above it's original position. That would mean that the front sight would also need to be raised by that same amount and that would require a blade sight almost 1" high sitting on top of the muzzle break. It looks really out of place and out of proportion. The new front sight is a small post at the front of the receiver. It is small and barely noticable and it also gives an excellent sight picture.

Wo0T!! Received and installed mine today. :) Tres kewl...very kewl. I received written instructions but no illustration, but it was easy enough to decipher where all the parts and bits were supposed to go after I stared at them for a while. Haven't fired it yet, but hope to get it sighted in tomorrow and start having a bit o' fun with it and a few tin cans.

got mine today as wel, just waiting on a few more parts they sent out today. Can't wait. Did you have to move your old site to the rear of the new reciever or did it come with a new one?

... your very welcome. It really was my pleasure to be able to make these kits up for you guys. I'm glad you like it.

Now if by chance you have any assembly problems, just post it here and I will try and help you out. It is fairly easy but some parts are like a bit of a puzzle, meaning they need to go together in a certain sequence.

My sheet of instructions are like any other manual you will find - crappy. But I admit that up front and am damn proud of it. :p Sorry guys but thats the best I could do. I like guns... not writing.

Now don't forget to give that walnut a light oiling Craig. Also try applying a light coat of oil over the anodized parts and then wipe it off. It leaves a very nice sheen much like "recently oiled blued steel".

Lastly, everyone should make sure they use Loctite on all of those little screws so you don't have any pieces falling off at the range because of a screw loose... rather, a loose screw.;)
