160 acres Private Hunting

None of this is even relevant. The OP is
If you have a hunting license and using tags - following limits ect, my belief is you should be able to hunt on private property. I know in China they like to tell you what you can and cannot do on your own property but I do think here you should be able to, since you know - you paid for it and it is yours, that's the idea of actually owning something.
i don’t care what your beliefs are. The OP is asking for advice on how to break the law. Poaching.

I just want to utilize my investment cabin land and the hrs I have put in to make it they way it is.
I am born and raised in Alberta.
i would also like to promote my hunting heritage and try to keep new generations interested in the sport and the great outdoors that Alberta has to offer.
I am not trying to make it a private hunting area.
Not everyone is fortunate enough to have the availability of such a great area.
That is why I would like to provide directions, maps to green zone, county map with land owners names so people not from the area could follow the rules and try to get permission.
I am hoping most people can enjoy it year round to get away from the hustle and bustle we live in today

Am I to understand in Alberta you can not charge people to hunt on your land, even when all laws, rules and regs are followed?

How do outfitters in Alta het away with charging for hunting on their land or do they somehow go around the law?

Yes if the fish cops in AB can prove the sole reason you’re charging money to access your land is to hunt, the crown will prosecute.

Alternately, if your brochure mentions photography, hiking, rest & relaxation in privacy etc as your lawyer will help you with defining the boundary around the rental property. Let’s say it’s 2-3 acres. That is what is being rented.

The quarter will be posted as Hunting With Permission Only. Those with a letter of permission from you can enjoy access to 157 acres for their enjoyment. With a strict reminder that it is illegal to discharge a firearm within 183m (200 yds) of an occupied dwelling (the rental cabin).

Alberta boy here too. Consult a lawyer familiar with Alberta regs.

Charging a fee to hunt on private land in Alberta is illegal. I don’t care what you “think”. It’s illegal, period.
he's charging a fee to use the cabin and the land as wanted. you could rent the cabin and take wildlife pics or shoot deer. its all good. not renting a hunting area, renting cabin/land but if you hunted while renting the cabin he wouldn't care.

The response you quoted was to what CDNhuntr said, not the OP.

If the Op wants to do what he is asking, he better consult a very good lawyer. Not some dudes on the internet. Go back and read the very first post. Better be careful how you word things reb.

So I think the way to do it is you rent this cabin as an airbnb then you give access to the territory for free, two different action two different things! Some one that is wanting to to hunt on a private property in Alberta that gets the ok form the land owner is then allowed to hunt and that is not in exchanged of money or compensation of any kind! But if you wanna have a place to stay then you have to pay for the cabin nothing else !
Would that work by Alberta laws?

Best to contact the game warden and make an inquiry of your intentions.

I’ve hunted a ranch here in Sk that on any given day could arguably be the best hunting in Canada. The home place is about 20,000 acres in a block, hunt on foot but they’ll help you retrieve your elk.
There are 3 old ranch houses that they rent to hunters (or anyone else) for cheap. It’s how they sort for permission, those staying get to play.
Their clients include a lot of cops and conservation officers serving and retired.

You can't charge for hunting access.
But you can charge to stay in a cabin.
And people wouldn't feel safe if anyone was allowed to hunt there besides them while they're there.
Yes it's a loophole.
Yes it's fair.
Anyone can do the same thing.

Last gun, that is what i am looking to make it.
I have hunted the area for the last 35 yrs so was thinking I could provide maps of some of the highlights of the area not just for hunting but year round .
Hike in waterfalls app. 10 kms away
Green zone 15 kms,
County map with land owners names.
Will have some trails on the quarter for walking, skiing.
Beaver dams for wildlife viewing, Beaver, Otters etc.
Lots of Birds and a wide variety wildlife
you are suppling info for hunting all illegal your are a bit of a moron if you think that the wildlife service is going to let this fly and on top of it posting on a public form
beside the little pamphlet recived is far from regulations that cover hunting
