I had one in 270 its a very well made rifle, they are heavy for all day carry and they have a long lever throw and cannot be scoped. Mine was extremely accurate.
I have always been interested in that very rifle. What was the recoil like? I seem to recall someone saying that it had a hard recoil because of the stock configuration.
I saw the SRC version and it sure looked good. I wonder how they shoot?

if they made it in 303 i'd buy one.
I have an original '95 in .303 and I like them better then the new ones, I don't like the punkin on the end of the fore stock, the original ones had a smaller graceful snaubble. What I dislike even more is the dumb safety on the new ones, why would you want one if you have a hammer??
