Yes that is a really nice looking pistol. I've never fired mine, but after seeing your pic I took it out last night and cleaned it up.

Got it out to the range yesterday with two different loads. One was 2.7gr bullseye and the other 3.0gr 231. Both were with bullet barns 148 bbwc. What a neat gun this thing is. The feel is totally different than my other 1911's definitely more of a push then a snap. I don't know what I was expecting to be honest with you? Anyway accuracy was great with both loads but better with the bullseye load, I will try and post some pics of targets tomorrow.

Thanks for posting that pony JohnnyMac, beautiful and i like its blueing.

Well here's my Colt WW2 Reproduction from early 2000s.
I have yet to test out the extractor tuning I did as since this has a milspec ejection port, 1 ~ 2 brass hits me in the head during firing.
I did reshape the extractor's "claw" and had some measurements done with the tensioning wall plus adjusted its tension.

Here's the improvised gauge I used instead of getting the weigand extractor gauge, of course used with an RCBS trigger pull scale.

Did it as well with my WW1 repro as these milspec ejection ports are not lowered and flared.

Hopefully it will eventually eject fine now.

The nighthawk has an APS textured STI grip with double undercut. If anyone is looking for a doublestack grip this is the one to go with, they are great to deal with and they ship to Canada which is an added bonus.

It allows for a higher hold, provides a more secure grip and also makes it easier to reach the mag release without having to change the grip with my right hand.

The Valtro has Kim Ahrends slim profile grip, I forget what kind of wood but I just picked them up from Brownells.
