OMG thats hot!

Used to have this SAM 1911 Commander Enhanced 9mm from Wolverine, really liked it, put some work into it, liked it even more but then needed money so I sold it. (I tried buying it back but the CGNer who bought it says it's his favorite shooter now!)

So I bought this Seraphim Armoury Crusader 9mm and am loving it. The Raasco grips look nice too.

The differences (aside from almost double the price thanks to our tanking dollar) are fibre optic front site, skeletonized trigger, magwell, checkered front strap and angled cocking serrations (which make it go faster). The front strap checkering took some getting used to as it's extremely aggressive. My sensitive, girlish hands literally hurt after holding it for even a brief period yet alone when I fired it. But all in all it's a great shooter, although the extractor could use some tuning. Nothing like hot spent brass dropping on your head.

Both guns are quite heavy so combined with the 4.25" barrel and 9mm recoil they are very smooth shooters.

Good lord that seraphim is sharp. If you don't mind me asking, what's the finish like on it? And where did you purchase it? I haven't seen too many around.

I bought it here off the EE from someone who'd only had the chance to shoot one box through her!

The finish is good, identical to what I remember the finish on the SAM being. Lots of threads on here about how superior this finish is to that on Norincos, but I for one prefer the Norc finish. This finish is flat, almost looks like paint (but I don't think it is) and is fairly unforgiving with safe kisses, whereas the Norcs look like an old worn gun with 40 year old faded bluing.

So short answer to your question is technically the finish is very good but it's not my first preference.

Thanks for the reply!
