1911's to be found anywhere?

Well, found another 1911 that was "in stock" but could not create an account because the website was down. Called in and spoke to a rep took down my PAL and contact info and assured me in stock and would call back for a CC and start transfer. 2 days later no email response or call and gun is showing out of stock on website.

Another retailer that guaranteed over the phone item was in stock, just setup account online and purchase. Thought the CFC was bad but this is entering bush league level. When you click purchase are both parties not entering into a contract. Sorry .....sold out....lucky i got the last one....uhhh..no..sold to another party.

Name the retailers. I’m compiling a personal list… this practice is unacceptable. I called one out over the phone and got the feeling that they were trying to gauge how angry I was to determine whether I should get one or not. It took them an entire day to figure out who got one or not. I kinda got the impression that if I had dug my heels in, I could’ve had one. As a new customer, they knew if I didn’t get one after being charged for it, that I’d never be back. RDSC

Pretty straight forward, delays your payments up to a certain limit across 6 weeks. Easy to use, as far as I can see no "catch" other than you gotta make up your mind. If you try to do an order cancellation, you'll get charged 8% due to financing having gone through.
 
There seems to be the high end and the low end but nothing mid range! No colt/springfield. IRG has a S&W but it’s got the rail which imo looks dumb on a 1911.
