1911's to be found anywhere?

After learning that my order for a 1911 was "short shipped" to the dealer, I'm now screwed and can't find one anywhere. Has anyone seen them for sale? Preferably .45acp. Cheers
 
Did the dealer indicate that the item was in stock when sold, but then came up with this excuse after the fact?
 
Last time I was in Straight Shooters indoor range (Western Metals), they still had some in stock. Didn't stop to look what makes or models and it was a week ago.

I still see plenty of 9mm versions online, but I'm guessing they aren't that popular.

I managed to get one that was advertised as a Colt Mk IV Model 70 instead of simply "1911". So you could always try searching for that, or perhaps "Colt Government Model". If you're committed enough, you'll get something eventually.
 
Thanks everyone. Yeah when I first bought it, it was showing in stock. I can't really raise a stink or call them out because I'm still hoping they'll come through on another purchase

I had this happen to me on a revolver. The website had it in stock when I ordered. I got email explaining the supplier "short shipped" them.
